They needed more slurs to feel oppressed by
You just know they created it with zero understanding whatsoever of what the word was shorthand for, because this is like making "Transgender", "Homosexual" and "Caucasian" into slurs. As in the words themselves, as presented. The only difference one might say is that humans can't be hermaphrodites, but men can't become real women anyway so transgender is technically just a fantasy too.
the same people crying "don't fetishize trans bodies" when trans people seriously have the biggest issue with fetishizing their bodies, but they don't want to see it as such.
I was going to say something on this in this reply but you already have. It's still funny how hypocritical they are on this position, the autogynephilia is very brazen and obvious with these people.
They are probably locked in debate with each other over which words to use; for example, the whole argument over "intersex" and "herm".
The thing is, calling these characters intersex is stupid. They aren't intersex, they're hermaphrodites, it's a statement of fact, they aren't characters born with chromosome disease into having malformed genitalia like micropenises, they're hermaphrodites, they have both genitalia and both are functional and they can probably actually fuck themselves if they wanted to
(artist's discretion). There's SUPPOSEDLY a specific intersex defect that results in having both genitalia but not only is it unfathomably rare to the point that there is barely any real information on it, but both genitalia aren't functional, at most only one will be and that's if they're lucky enough. Forcing people to call them intersex is just shoehorning shit where it doesn't belong.
They're not even "gynomorphs" because that would require not having a vagina, since the implication is "Body build looks female but actually isn't"
(Why aren't they considering this word to be a slur instead? Strange priorities.)
Well, the mentally deranged did it, "Herm / Hermaphrodite" is going to be removed in the name of "inclusivity".
More reasons why furaffinity is in the gutter. Honestly I can't believe I'm having to speak the case for why removing this is stupid, but removing it is honestly far stupider than whatever dark sorcery led herm to be a fetish to begin with. It seems even in maniacal sex fantasy, these people can't register rigid concepts like "My inhuman character is simultaneously male and female according to its genitalia" without chimping out. Given they can't understand that in reality humans only have two genders, it makes sense for them to act like this.
I think in some cases a character can be considered a hermaphrodite if they have the ability to willfully change their own sex on a whim
(as an innate ability), those characters are only one at a time but since they functionally live as both, they're also considered hermaphrodites by definition, but can also be referred to as "genderbenders"
(Do they call this one a slur too?) I think these people hate logical terms in general, they'd rather try to describe those characters as "genderfluid" so the delusional lunatics can be like "waow, this character is literally me irl!".
