I still don't know how to feel about this tbh. On one hand it's cute, sure, but family content on social media has a pretty bad reputation (and rightfully so).

IMO she was almost certainly finally canned for the rants against the company, the racism stuff just provided easy cover for them to get rid of her without having to address any of her complaints against the company or things she said about what they're doing internally

Right now I'm annoyed about how all the Hololive karaoke backing tracks are played by absolutely incompetent musicians. Mumei singing "Dreams" always hurt my feelings because everything was wrong except her voice, but that "Sweet Child O Mine" that Gigi just did was truly fucking egregious.

"Perms" are not this hard, Hololive. The American law is that you can sing and cover anything you want, but the songwriter or owner of the master recording might claim your royalties (ad revenue). That's it. USE THE REAL SONGS YOU ABSOLUTE QUEERS.

No this is not all there is to it if you want to avoid the chance of getting your shit fucked there is licensing involved. You don't need "permission" like you don't need the artist to actually approve of it, but you do have to jump through some legal hoops and pay a licensing fee, some distribution websites assist with that like distrokid but it's absolutely not "lol just do it and who knows maybe they'll claim ad revenue"
