You know, I was bored enough to go and calculate it out. I'm just going to calculate bombs for this because we are already going to keep the ships/planes themselves for other missions:
The claim is that
14 bunker busters were dropped onto these bases. These are GBU-57, which from what I can find cost about
$3.5 M. There was also
30 Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines. They were terrible about describing the kind of missile, but guessing from the range that it was a Block-V put it at a cost of
$1.4 M. 3.5 * 14 = 49, 1.4 * 30 = 42. Total: $101 million for the bombing run itself. That is in fact 0.0014% of what we spend on welfare, so it is probably a few days and you were spot on with that.
(I also hate the welfare state, but at least with welfare we spend it on american niggers, that will at least put that money back into american stores to buy liquor and shit instead of being literally burned to a crisp in a conflict we have no business in.) That also could have been (With rougher math): 1250 students to jobcorp, that would have netted 400 welders. Taxed $7800 on the median income of $49,000 after graduating, Would net $3,120,000 (yearly in taxes) and pay for the entire program itself in 35 years. Instead of, again, burning up in a shithole.
