Every single time I see a thread collision like the one happening here, I chuckle. Because reddit and twitter love to claim Kiwifarms is this monolith of goose-stepping serial harassers, all marching to the beat of the same hatred... when in fact this place couldn't be more fractured if it tried. Subforums or even just long-running threads have not only different posting cultures but sometimes entirely different worldviews. And humans being what we are, we fight over the stupidest quibbles, or even just basic hearsay.

The first time I got interested in watching anime in the mid 00s, when all the bootleg sites didn’t provide tags or content warnings, it was super easy to trick tourists into watching/ reading shit that goes from zero to completely fucked up degeneracy in 30 seconds, and this left me with a really bad impression. I got hit with the Bible black hazing maneuver, and it made me think anime fans were depraved perverts for a good 15 years. Once my brother got into it and was able to recommend much more normal material like fullmetal, cowboy bebop, gundam, and space battleship Yamato, I’ve had a better time with the medium. The fantsasy and sci-fi genres in western entertainment have been completely cored out by DEI social propaganda to the point where they are no longer watchable. When all your favorite franchises lie in ruins or have been morphed into an abomination, isekai trash is like cold water to a man dying in the desert, because it’s merely mediocre instead of being specifically designed as a humiliation ritual for the fan.
