Mamdani wants to increase corporate taxes while also kicking out corporations by making government owned grocery stores. This also undermines the local delis in NY putting them at risk because most can't afford to cut down their prices to compete like how the big stores that'll stick around can. He's unironically gonna assrape the NY economy if he attempts this and probably get into debt from all the overpriced handouts he intends to give.

Fucking Christ the past 5 days have been a fucking roller coaster of emotion for me, at first I felt scared, then I felt betrayed then I felt relived, then I felt shocked and optimistic all in 2 days. Like how the fuck did what happen even happen.
4D chess is a meme, but Trump showing up and just shooting from the hip on instinct in literally every direction, but ending up the winner of a sniper shootout is just something that happens and I don't have a way of adequately parsing it while it happens. Wait and See bros win again.

I was expecting news that Israel and Iran were back to killing each other with nothing having been solved, but as far as I can tell at a bare minimum both have decided to lick their wounds for a while. I'm still waiting to see if Iran follows through on their threat to close the Strait of Hormuz.

the pipe part sounds like bullshit to me. ethanol is pretty easy and forgiving to work with, the only thing you need to worry about is its flammability. i don't see how or why it would be a problem for pipelines.

ethanol fuel from corn is a pretty neat concept, so far it's the most successful of all the "make cars run on renewables" ideas people have come up with. it's not economically viable as long as oil is as abundant as it is, but especially for countries with no local oil reserves of their own it can contribute to decreasing their reliance on imports which is also good.
but for america in particular it seems kinda pointless, with how abundant the local oil and gas reserves are.
The primary issue seems to be how much ethanol likes to absorb water, especially in fuel blends. Piping pure ethanol might be possible, but if I recall correctly you can only reach about 96% alcohol via distillation so getting it to be pure is a bit more industrially involved.

This talks about the pitting stainless steel undergoes as a result of fuel blends, and this talks about fuel blends corroding metals in general.

New age memes are just somthing else arent they?

I think its when we let that deep fried markiplier edit as lord farquad with E at the bottom slide and it was all downhill from there
That's not even half of it. Many memes now are so ADHD they're borderline incomprehensible, and this ADHD-ness influences other videos Zoomers make. Here's a slower-paced, on-topic example.

1. They should still have to identify themselves. How would you like it if a van full of guys pulled up to you, with masks on, and just grabbed you and threw you in the van? Plenty of the people they've arrested have been US citizens, too. They show up without even warrants like they are supposed to. I'm surprised no one has 2A them in self defense
2. We already have record low taxes for them. Why should we increase our deficit so that Zuck can get more money?
3. There's non-boomers who this effects, too. Like kids who are getting their school lunch funding cut or people on medicare and medicaid.
4. Those factory jobs aren't coming back. It'd take decades and no one wants to work in them. Prices will go up on everything.
5. Giving contracts out to his buddies. His cabinet picks being completely unqualified.
6. There's already plenty of land not filled with forests that are not being built. We don't have to kill our national forests so that Trump's buddies can make money.
1. The fear is part of the incentive to self-deport. If they made you ware they were coming, you could just run and hide, and if you're in a sanctuary district or state, local authorities are under no obligation to assist. It's hard to employ empathy for people who are knowingly breaking the law and did nothing to change that because they thought they would never get caught. They probably can't 2A the authorities because background checks during an arms sale would turn up nothing on someone undocumented, and if they got a firearm anyway it'd be illegally acquired and they'd be double-fucked, even without mentioning the fact they shot at someone.

2. Taxes are actually record low for everyone but inflation did a number on how effective this actually is. I did a dive on this a while back regarding Reagan. Fewer people are paying taxes today than they were pre 1980s since they changed the brackets and the actual percentage paid out is rather low as well, but now the burden is more spread out amongst everybody rather than the rich, so everyone is equally buggered.

3. This helps with the deficit you brought up in the above point. It's not cutting them as far as I know, but making the requirements to qualify stricter.

4. Apple were quick to move factories from China to India with the tariffs, with construction of new factories taking 1 to 3 years assuming they don't already have repurposed buildings to operate out of. If it becomes cheaper to produce shit domestically in America than elsewhere, then the gamble paid off and they'll return (the microchip investments are to help with shit like electronics, which America gets imported from China very heavily) but if it doesn't, then America is still earning some extra revenue which negatively impacts consumers and domestic producers reliant on foreign imports but also extracts wealth from corporations. It'll take a while longer yet before we see how the tariffs have actually impacted anything beside games consoles, since a lot of tariffs are applied with exemptions in place for specific goods.

5. He gave Elon some preferential treatment but crony-capitalism is more prevalent via lobbying and the quasi-monopolistic nature of the contemporary corporate world than it is Trump showing some bias towards a guy who glazed him and de-censored twitter, which in turn helped the collective right-wing. If you hate crony capitalism you also need to hate every politician since the 70s.

6. It sucks. I'm thinking it's to ameliorate housing or build new factories but I only have conjecture.

The EU is going to try to force Ireland's hand to implement the hated hate speech bill that public opinion got binned last year. I know this is a US politics general, but I (perhaps selfishly) hope the US exerts pressure to make the EU and Irish government back off.

EDIT: I don't want to go to jail for saying nigger or faggot on 4chan while Abdul gets off with a suspended sentence for rape.

Any loyalty to any person or institution is cultism.
Also if your group of friends is more than 3 people. Cultism.

"Severian. Name for me the seven principles of goverance."

It was an effort for me to speak, but I managed (in my dream, if it was a dream) to say, "I do not recall that we have studied such a thing, Master."

"You were always the most careless of my boys," he told me, and fell silent.

A foreboding grew on me; I sensed that if I did not reply, some tragedy would occur. At last I began weakly, "Anarchy..."

"That is not governance, but the lack of it. I taught you that it precedes all governance. Now list the seven sorts."

"Attachment to the person of the monarch. Attachment to a bloodline or other sequence of succession. Attachment to the royal state. Attachment to a code legitimizing the governing state. Attachment to the law only. Attachment to a greater or lesser board of electors, as framers of the law. Attachment to an abstraction conceived as including the body of electors, other bodies giving rise to them, and numerous other elements, largely ideal."

"Tolerable. Of these, which is the earliest form, and which the highest?"

"The development is in the order given, Master," I said. "But I do not recall that you ever asked before which was highest."

Master Malrubius leaned forward, his eyes burning brighter than the coals of the fire. "Which is highest, Severian?"

"The last, Master?"

"You mean attachment to an abstraction conceived as including the body of electors, other bodies giving rise to them, and numerous other elements, largely ideal?"

"Yes, Master."

"Of what kind, Severian, is your own attachment to the Divine Entity?"

I said nothing. It may have been that I was thinking; but if so, my mind was much too filled with sleep to be conscious of its thought. Instead, I became profoundly aware of my physical surroundings. The sky above my face in all its grandeur seemed to have been made solely for my benefit, and to be presented for my inspection now. I lay upon the ground as upon a woman, and the very air that surrounded me seemed a thing as admirable as crystal and as fluid as wine.

"Answer me, Severian."

"The first, if I have any."

"To the person of the monarch?"

"Yes, because there is no succession."

"The animal that rests beside you now would die for you. Of what kind is his attachment to you?"

"The first?"

There was no one there. I sat up. Malrubius and Triskele had vanished, yet my side felt faintly warm.

Kamala's stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, says she's feeling "trauma" voting for NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani because it's the same place she voted during her stepmom's failed election.

Zoomer meme on the American-right, and the Israel-Iran back and forth.

If Mamdani wins the primary & the general election both, how much longer will we be able to call NY Jew York? I expect the upper-class leftist kikes who support him (or at least the idea of him, le heroic Islamo-socialist champion of the downtrodden POCs) would sooner flee like locusts to fuck up some other place rather than actually live with the infinity jeet/sandnigger immigration & other city-destroying policies they voted for.

Been looking into private schools for my kids, as one of them is approaching school age in another year. My faith in the public school system is GONE, and I've been saving up money for private school as an option for years.

The school I'm eyeing openly shared demographics-- only 12% of the students are non-white. I wasn't looking into demographics for schools. I was looking into the (religion-incorporated) education they provided.

10-20 years ago, I wouldn't have given this stat much thought at all. After all of the shit that has happened in the past decade alone, though ... The stat is a selling point to me now. lol.

The immigration system is fundamentally broken beyond repair if you do not require the immigrants (including the legal ones) to assimilate. Fuck this gay ass shit of immigrants waving flags from other countries. I'm so sick and tired of it! GO BACK HOME TO YOUR SHITHOLES!
After what i'm seeing, i don't blame you. here are the united states statistics. i lol'd at california's as they want to pretend they are the smartest in the room, but proving to be one of the dumbest and consistently been below average for the past 25 years. when you pump out 25 years of retards, then wonder why their state is on fire constantly when those retards run the state now.
https://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/snapshots/
they even break it down by race and average scores of those races. well, just take a look for yourself. you'll notice the statistical trend that i did, but i won't spoil the not-so-surprise.

But yeah, just from the stuff i've seen in the last 10 years or so, my concern would be them trying to groom kids into thinking they're trans and trying to keep the parents out of the loop like a bunch of fucking predators. with unions circling the wagons to keep child predators in schools, my other concern they can have another jerry sandusky on their hands and the money hungry unionist parasites will circle the wagons around said predator because they want the union dues and don't give a shit about the safety of the children.

Californians are fucking retarded

Looking back on it, it seems like there was significant backchannel communications between the Iranian and American government which we weren't privy too. Judging by the public signals that Iran sent with their attacks, it was almost like they were showing Trump their belly. From what some insiders had said, Trump's former impression of Iran was the 'rabid dog' confection that Fox news loves to spin up that's very off-base from the actual behaviors and motivations of the regime. I feel like both behind the scenes and on the world stage the regime was taking carefully calculated steps to deconstruct that perception in Trump's mind, and to get him to see them as people who could be reasoned with as opposed to a bunch of lunatics, and it appears to be working.

It is a cool idea. But the industrial quantities of ethanol are made from natural gas.
It is dried with zeolites or molecular sieves to get to 99% ratings. Anything less and it separates out of gas.
