Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

got around to playing Far Cry 6 this week, theres a few mildly woke lines but other than that I am mostly enjoying it gameplay and storywise, a lot of the core Far Cry gameplay from 5 is there, its a wonder how some Ubisoft IPs are gems while others are god-awful Corporate shit no one asked for, still the French should put Yves Guillemot in a Guillotine

You must not have gotten to the part with the trans couple or the college feminists yet.

It's kind of surreal to realize that the last good game Ubisoft ever made was a licensed South Park RPG.
their newer prince of persia game (not the dead cell developers one) wasnt that bad and actually had decent gameplay going into it

Yea I heard gameplay wise it was actually pretty solid but the MC being a Kang with an actual unironic zoomer broccoli cut made me not want to support it with my hard earned shekels.

They didn't make it, that was Obsidian. They merely published it. Ubisoft made the superhero sequel(which isn't an RPG if I remember correctly).

It is still an RPG, but they switched to a tile-based field for battles. You're probably thinking of Snow Day, which isn't and went full 3D.

Slightly heartwarming to see Iranians getting their history bastardized and nigger'd by (((faggy frogs))) just like what happens to White people. It's the little things that can bring us together.

I dunno dude, it looks like a glorified tactics strategy game now. Then again, I haven't played it, the first game is on my backlog and I have to get around to it first.

You did yourself a favor, but here's a taste if you care at all.
These characters look vaguely familiar, was there a fat nerd character who makes you go recruit them?

The more I see of FC6's story the happier I am I blew through it skipping everything. I don't even know how it ends lol.

From what I've seen it was entirely the Xdefiant team's fault. They slept on a really positive beta and delayed the game's full release for so long that by the time it finally dropped CoD had filled the void Xdefiant was aiming for and nobody gave a shit.
This video covers the shitshow pretty well but I've not independently verified any claims made.
Damn if I had seen this game sooner I probably would've played it, I don't play the new cod games because of skill based matchmaking and all the bullshit along with that. It is rather baffling that they never put it on steam, its almost like ubisoft wanted this game to fail so they could drop it sooner. I'm sure there'll be some gay videogame journalist deep dive into this many years later.
