Undertale

So a couple things I've started theorizing the past few days

I've said before that I think the shadow crystals are fragments of Gaster since he was "shattered" across space and time. As we've seen by using the glass in the real world, we're seeing stuff that's not happening through them. Jevil learned knowledge he wasn't supposed to and was locked away. Spamton was going on about how he didn't want to be a puppet on a strings and wanted to break free. I'm thinking these bosses are figuring out that they're kinda stuck in a script (I've mentioned this before), which would be the prophecy, and the shadow crystals let them see that they're no longer bound to the script (Hence Jevil's line of "I can do anything" and spamton's talk of breaking his strings).

Gerson was delivered a crystal but he states never used it, likely left to him hoping he'd want to change his death. Then we have the Roaring Knight in chapter 3. I'm really starting to believe that it's the Roaring Knight that's delivering these crystals to these bosses. I think Ramb was supposed to be the recipient of the crystal in chapter 3, but shit hit the fan with the gang not participating in Tenna's third board before it could be delivered to Ramb. I bet Jevil and Spamton had had theirs for a while. Although Ramb seemed to have really cared for Kris, he was at risk of being thrown away with Tenna. This would go in line with Ramb mentioning that freedom was only for big shots, meaning he didn't see himself important enough in the 'story' to be worthy of being anything more since he didn't have a boost.

2nd, I'm really starting to believe the whole theory that the game is covering a 2nd attempt at the prophecy. The theory is that the first time you boot up and save in Deltarune, Kris has his own save file to override. Then, the theory is is that Kris, Asriel, and Dess tried all this before and it ended up with something happening to Dess. In the prophecy the girl has a sword, which of course Susie uses axes. That would explain that, Dess taking her bat into the dark world and it becoming a sword, hence why the knight has the bat to sword animation. Plus there's the old toothbrush Asriel has in his coat pocket, that could explain that.

Ralsei is such a fucking enigma in the game. He's supposed to be prince over this dark world but no one knows who the fuck he is, always appears when you need him, and doesn't follow the turn to stone rule that the other characters do (although chapter 3 made that a clusterfuck with its jokes). I remember during chapter 1 there was a theory that Lancer was the prince of darkness, but that's kinda been disproven, but there's definitely something more to this whole "prince of darkness" in the prophecy, and I doubt it's actually ralsei.

Correction: He talks a lot of shit for someone that died eating flowers. Bitch ass liver couldn't even handle a dandelion.
Wasn't that part of his plan to kill himself to have Asriel absorb his soul, go to the surface, then start killing people here?

Now, I guess this thread will have nothing but memes until 2026, but that's fine.

You actually get more dialogue about Jevil and the Knight if you talk to King after Chapter 3. The thing is this dialogue only happens after the cut scene with Tenna so most people miss it.
> Talk about the knight
* ... what?
* Soon you will meet your demise, by the Knight's hand...
* We lived, idiot.
* WHAT!? YOU met THE KNIGHT!?
* ... Aheh. A rare show of mercy, I suppose.
* With their full strength, you'd be SPLATTERED!! Hahaha!!
* ...
* ... What... were they like?
* Umm, they seemed a little...
* A little? A little what?
* You know. A little... y'know?
* A little WHAT!? DRAW A PICTURE, WENCH!!!
* Begone...

> Jester
* It was he, the clown, that told me the Knight's brilliance...
* About the fountains' glory, and how I would rise to power.
* Funny little man. How his jokes and dances made us chuckle.
* A shame he had to be tricked away, by his closest companion.
* The magician, Seam, whose smile has gone empty since that day.
So King never met the Knight himself. Instead Jevil instructed the King on the Prophecy and seemingly was working directly on the orders of the Knight. Only for Seam to lock Jevil away.

I get that "everything is Gaster" is annoying and overplayed, but in Chapter 4 when you
first enter the Holidays' basement in soul form
, isn't the background sound a layered, slightly sped-up version of the shelter sound, which in turn is a Gaster sound slowed down by 666%? There are certainly some Gaster implications, and certainly moreso if that same sound is playing there.

Ok so I played chapter 3 again to 100% and beat the roaring knight (ended with only 1 hp..) and get the egg
So if I understand, kris's plan was to make the dark portal because the knight wanted toriel but kris secretly made a deal with tena to keep her asleep and be a distraction until undyne shows up (which is why he slashed the tires) so the knight will take her instead
Did I get the right? I'm still a bit fuzzy on some stuff

What if the dark world ruler of the flower shop is the truck itself?
You know what would be interesting? If this game was losable in Day 7, or there is no Day 7, but day 6. Since Troonby Fuchs is full of "gotchas" and other funny stuff, he may very well do "And on the seventh day, God will rest" and just leave it as a comic or whatever, or maybe all the troons, pooners and enbies develop day 7 on their own.

Anyway, if he DOES day 7, it would be interesting if you can see lose the final battle and, IDK, see what happens as a bad ending. But IDK, maybe it wouldn't be anything interesting.

I think the knight wanted both toriel and undyne but shit hit the fan too quick where it was only able to grab undyne.

Troon bashing will continue until morale improves.
It’s at least a little funny seeing YouTubers slip up and accidentally call Kris “he” or Ralsei “they” or something. They don’t even fully believe it themselves. It’s not even specific to Deltarune videos.

We already know there probably won’t be a day 7 since Chapter 3 takes place in the night between days 2 and 3.

Given that the prophecy almost definitely depicts snowgrave and Toby is insistent on there being only one ending, some people predict a time loop where doing pacifist will require the player to reset to Chapter 1, and snowgrave is the only way to get the true ending. Like what Undertale did but in reverse.

If the timeloop required you to play the game twice following both routes except the second route had changes based on the first ala Undertale with resets or Bravely Default that'd be both kinda cool and intensely fucking annoying so that's my prediction.

Also lemme throw my theory out that Toby has Ghost Trick brainworms (evidenced by him talking about Tenna originally being rendered in the GT style) and there's definitely going to be time travel fuckery of some sort, if not a direct timeloop. That game drops its twist with the force of a nuclear bomb and it messes with people's narrative brains in the same way that Earthbound does.
