UK British News Megathread - aka CWCissey's news thread

https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

That is actually brilliant - I've emailed a screenshot of what Paul has said to my local Reform UK PPC who'll hopefully take it up with Nigel and the top brass.
I wonder if a pro-white British group with the right lawyer could take it to some supranational court or something. I do'nt know how shit works though.

You've seen what good my money can do? Okay and I've seen Jesus Christ in a Tutu singing 'La Bamba'.
Are you attending drag bars mate? Bit concerned. Stick to the sheep.
honestly i've been thinking of infiltrating the party as well. tbh, taking over an established party with nativist members is probably the strongest path through political means.
Young blood would be good. I don't know any young white men who don't see their future as anything but being a neet. Not because they don't have the drive but because things are so stacked against them they see no reason to try. They know they're being abused and opt for universal credit and warhammer.

Have you tried not selecting women and foreigners to lead your party? Just kidding. I know the Conservatives will keep trying to out woke Labour. They elect these idiots because they think it will show how liberal they are and it alienates the conservative areas they usually win.

They could. Another avenue of attack is to apply to the USA for refugeee status due to political persecution. With Trump in office and him already bitching at Starmer about free speech. There is a political avenue to shame the police state and have the UK seen as unsafe. That's the kind of thing that harms an economic rating and starts to damage the bankers ability to exploit the nation. We have the rioters put in prison as proof of political show trials and abuse of non-establishment political views.

There are many lawyer tactics if people had the balls to take them.

Integration only happens with inter-marriage. There are those of the Iranian diaspora of the late 70s who married Europeans, who's children went on to marry Europeans and their children now have an Iranian grandparent and might celebrate certain aspects of that, like food, traditional dress, certain holidays, but to all other extents are European. If a diaspora sticks together, lives in enclaves and only marries within their community, integration will never happen.
An example: In the 1780s, a significant (for the time) population of freed slaves settled in various parts of Yorkshire. They intermarried with the locals and had bred out within a few generations, with their only genetic legacy being an unusual cluster of a particular Y haplogroup normally found in west Africa. Significantly, African slaves in England were thoroughly divorced from any native culture they might otherwise have preserved, so they had an "advantage" of no mental ties to the past, and without the grievance-mongering of current year they had no way to organise the continuity of that old culture. Assimilation means giving up what you had. Few - even supposed bros like the sikhs - are willing to do that.

I have to rainbow it to death. The otherwise fairly nebulous definition of "indigenous" is deliberately crafted to exclude white europeans. No government would countenance it, as with indigeneity comes the right to demand protection and representation. In fact, the activism is firmly in the other direction right now. The white-coloniser narrative is being extended to our ancestral homelands; the native Irish are now "colonisers", for instance, in their own god damn country.

Still. It has to be tried, if only to say an attempt was made. The worst failure is the failure to even begin.

God this lady pisses me off to no end. Excuse my incoming rants I haven’t read this pile of drivel. But at least the right are telling us the real history. Not like the left trying to blackify ours to justify the boat people. Cheddarman was SubSaharan!! Black people built Stonehenge!! Black people were on Hadrians wall. Septimius Severus woz black!! A lot of this is thanks to the Tom Booth(white idiot leftist) from the National History museum who is responsible for the Cheddarman was black claims. He’s literally admitted he didn’t to “stop the white far right” & because of Brexit.

He had the cheek to post this after blacks started believing this crap & he was getting called out.
View attachment 7558850
Hes now carrying on this trend by blackifying Neolithics btw.
View attachment 7558865
Now we’ve got blacks everywhere tying to tell us everything was really black like Romans and Moors. (never mind that Romans never got anywhere near Subsaharan Africa) I’m suprised the Muslims haven’t got annoyed about the Moor thing actually, since they were actually Arabs and Berbers. And these people wonder why the right is rising?
Jesus, that looks like Nigger Greta!

'You have stolen my gibs, HOW DARE YOU!'

Now, not to stir up the proverbial 'Hornet's Nest', again again, but it is now interesting how many media outlets are beginning to say the same thing and mention those 'two words'.

The Times today led with 'Rebel MP's demand a regime change' - this number is now anywhere between 130 and 170, therefore let's take the median of these as 150 as a potential number for 'shove it up your arse sideways' votes against Starmer and the Disability Bill.

In addition, both the BBC and Trinity Mirror are now changing their tune with Reform UK and their voter base, allowing people they'd normally not platform to have their say. They wouldn't do this unless something was in the offing, why now and why the sudden need to appeal to people they've called 'Super Nazi Mega Hitler' for the longest time?

Do they suspect that Starmer is near the end of his time in charge, and that rather than do the honest and sensible thing and resign he'll go full pompous and nuclear i.e. 'I won't stand down, how dare you, if I have to go all you lot are going down with me!'

Whilst I accept that the current consensus here is 'it's not happening' I'm not so sure that it won't.

Next Tuesday's vote, whichever way it goes, will be the beginning of the end either way - if it passes, the pressure on Starmer to go and the mass resignations will topple

Won't someone just as bad be his replacement though?

Having an Iranian grandparent means you have problems a pure European line doesn't.
What problems do you imagine you get from being Persian? Affable people in my experience who have a pretty impressive cultural history in mathematics, engineering, etc. How many Iranian people have you actually known?

I'd like to to be one of those ones where I don't have to commit too much to it though.
Church of England is made for you. They have all the buildings and the titles and stuff, but I'm fairly sure none of their bishops actually believe in God. They certainly don't act like they do.

This is a list of proposed amendments that were rejected for the UK's Euthanasia bill. It is quite horrifying.

They'd have to dump the women priests, bring back the book of common prayer stuff, and drop all the faggot shit. Then I'd consider it. But only if it guaranteed all the BAMEs gone.

Well there are lots of Christian denominations that don't have this stuff, but they will all expect you to believe in God. That's why I suggested CoE in the first place!

Jesus! Amendment 60: To deny euthanasia if there was a real risk that the patient does not meet the eligibility criteria. DENIED!

EDIT EDIT: "To require doctors to document the content of their euthanasia discussions with the patient and share those records with a medical examiner". DENIED!

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Fuck me - "To allow doctors to opt-out of euthanasia work via a conscience clause without penalty." DENIED!

I can't even imagine Kier "Fucking Boring" Starmer saying those words, or doing anything even one millionth as exciting. I can imagine him giving a dull as dishwater press conference where he says something along the lines of "It is now clear that for the good of the nation I must now stand aside for blah blah blah blah blah".

The CoE would rather kneel before Woke than God and Jesus Christ.

As a result, the 'High Mass' and Orthodox churches are booming and in Wales the old 'Chapel' (based) services are getting more and more popular with younger people.

The last time I went to a RC mass, it was cringe - children doing cartwheels and back-flipping in leotards down the aisle. I thought 'are they re-enacting the James Brown scene from 'The Blues Brothers''.

If I go to mass, I want prayers, some singing, the Gospel, Communion - the usual.

I do not want Wokey Cokey bullshite.

They're not us. End of story. No race mixing. No sikh or Pesian ball washing. Us VS Them and you're a traitor if you're going to keep telling everyone how nice Them are. Iranians can be very nice to each other in Iran and stay there.

Women can't help trying to play the field. Keep everyone 'nice' and tell you not to pick a side. They want to fence sit until they're sure of a winner. They will never stop going to bat for brown people will they?

Lots of churches are having theft problems. The women in charge keep leaving the church open and unsupervised. Thieves see it and raid the churches of any valuables to flog. They're heresy and getting the church's history stolen.

How can this be legal? Documentation is not optional

They're not us. End of story.
You talked about genetic problems, I asked like what? You want to talk about Polynesian people we can talk about a propensity to diabetes. You want to talk about Pakistani communities in Bradford, you can debate birth rates. You want to say Shia Islam is at odds with Western values you can explain that. But you said that Iranian ancestry is introducing genetic problems. So... like what?

Old Persian man just wants to know what you meant.

I used to be Orthodox (before it was cool) but alas I am lapsed and going to hell.
