Lou's totally dead mom and coach are still very much alive. Lou hasn't been kicked out, but he DID have one of his pinkie toes amputated, and no, he still hasn't take the lesson to heart of "Poor management of Lord 'Beetus = Having parts of yourself chopped off". Most of the thread regulars are waiting for the next big amputation. Lou also appears to have gotten in with some local political activist who is urging him to go to protests and livestream, they've obviously given him talking points and is doing some level of tard wrangling to try and keep him from making a complete ass of himself.

His previous toe-dooming was another begging story, but he went in for babby's first toe amp without fanfare a little bit ago. Lou is at 9/10 toes, baby toe down because he was arbitrarily cramming his Charcot clodhoppers into cheap women's shoes and maintains his refusal to perform routine diabetic foot checks (tm). He alternated claiming to be non-weightbearing post-op with bragging about going to a protest march, and has posted explicitly that he doesn't care if he loses more toes for The Cause. I forgot which cause.

Lou started talking about not liking the name he legally changed his to, Ash, but that passed. He's still plural when he remembers but one of the personalities is a regular four-legged cat, and also he has a fursona and/or personality that's a wolf or something and not a tittycat.

Lou has been in contact with a female human who appears to be wrangling him, both online and IRL, for liberal politics. He now copy-pastes some political talking points on a rotating basis with his usual abuse and begging, and filmed/mostly stuck to the script at a No Kings demonstration. Unclear if Lou is good optics for any cause, or if she's being paid by the pound for patsies. He'd be good to hide behind if a truck of peace came at your march.

I'm not a fursuiter so it "isn't my place"--but neither is Lou.

Seems like a good idea to gatekeep who you want in a public-facing parade, for optics' sake--this is an unusually sensible take for furries. (It also seems like fursuit cooling should be solved already; surely there's some furry who's ex-Disney cast, or at least used to be a high school mascot.)

So tl;dr: this is an opt-in death march that only accepts the most devoted furries? I dunno; sounds more like a Classical tragedy than like a social justice issue to me.

I hope he just fucked up and said "boys" when he meant to say "men." If not, I hope he gets beaten to death. It's really dumb of him to get so aggressive on Threads (so, par for the course), it's tied in with Instagram and Facebook, so besides those who might already recognize "ashcat724" as him, someone could track down his IRL name, AFAIK. Plus it isn't that easy to set up new accounts there.

"Renal failure"/"kidney failure" sounds scarier, or at least faster-moving, than it usually is.

Unfortunately, what often happens is the kidney-owner realizes that there's no effect on their lifestyle/symptoms at Stage 1 CKD, and so they completely ignore it and fuck around until they're Stage 4. Stage 5 is dialysis, transplant or palliative care.

If only there were another diabetic with renal insufficiency in the house whom Lou could talk to.

End-stage renal disease is a legal slam-dunk for disability, BTW; dialysis is the dream lifestyle Lou's been playing for all this time.

The fact that Lou's not talking about logistics and a special iPad for dialysis days means he probably just got the "hey your renal labs aren't great; blah blah blah glucose management blah blah grazing blah blah definitely buy more custom pornography" talk from his PCP, or saw a red value on his labwork in a patient portal.
