I'll ask @AnOminous @FuhrerMustang for comment, but did not Depp argue that not untagging someone in a re-tweet was harassment and contact?
It's not even indirect, it is direct contact. Legally it would be the same as sending a text or making a phone call.
That’s true. However, Rekieta has already expressed that, in his view, good lawyering involves raising every possible argument that could help defend a client and seeing what sticks.
Unless it's his own client, in which case he believes you should just not bother to raise the issue and then bitch to the judge privately off the record after your client is convicted and sent to prison for twenty years.
It's almost as if Nick wants to go to jail
In my state, where we have laws that exist, this would get you sent to jail immediately. That being said, Minnesota is so comically fucked up that I genuinely don't know if HROs are any good. The entire court system in that state seems completely anemic and generally refuses to hold offenders accountable, so I am not optimistic about Nick actually facing consequences.

Nick’s conduct last night was especially reckless. While privately collecting clips for his defence makes sense, publicly streaming about it and attacking Aaron live after an ex parte TRO was already granted crosses a dangerous line. In Minnesota, indirect contact or actions reasonably expected to cause distress can violate the TRO’s terms. By publicly criticizing Aaron post-order, Nick risks strengthening Aaron’s case that a temporary or physical TRO isn’t enough and that a full harassment restraining order is needed because Nick’s behavior shows he won’t stop.
There are two things that would completely break Nick:
-- Being unable to pine for his love, Aaron
-- If his other love April snaked him publicly

The only major question, then, is whether Aaron's lawyer can competently argue that in court. After his last appearance, I have my doubts.
He needs a new lawyer.

I still maintain Peterson is better than Rekieta, but that ain't saying a whole hell of a lot.

Rekieta stated during his appearance on Melton's show that he believes Aaron filed the HRO petition on his own, without assistance from an attorney:
:really:"It looks like he filled this thing out on his own. It does not look like it was done, uh, you know, by a lawyer. And, um, I think that was—that was probably ill-advised."
You don't need a lawyer for the initial ex parte order. The bar for getting one is intentionally set super fucking low.

They are specifically designed so that anybody who is at least semi-literate can get one.

Case in point: Aaron got one.

And it should be that way, because they were designed for things like battered women, and other vulnerable people who might be in genuine danger from their harasser. You don't want to set the bar too high.

Where it gets sticky is if Nick tries to contest it. Then there would be a confrontational hearing, and then Aaron employing lawyer would be a good idea.

So if this ends in a murder suicide does that disqualify Nick from LoTY
Nah man that would make him a king horrorcow and will just lead to a Netflix documentary a few years later being made about him and his failed polycule. unsettling music and dramatic cuts while random people from his lore get interviewed.

Same vibe.

Edit: whoops didn't see the next post pointing this exact thing out...

This is going to be an interesting test of psychotic fortitude. Will Aaron be able to resist saying a peep about the Rekietas until October? Potentially Reverse chiropractor choke slamming Nick's legal ambitions into the ground? Nick has no ability to resist being an angry screaming 9 year old every time he doesn't get his way.

It's almost as if Nick wants to go to jail

Of course he does. If he goes to jail he can be free of driving MUH KEEDS, free of cooking slop for his pilled out crackhead wife, free of all their endless demands for attention and responsibility--and he'll surely find drugs there. And while in outward denial, in jail he can enjoy being 'forced' into homosexual encounters. With no prying eyes of clippers and xitters, he can immerse himself into his new role as pass-around manpuss twink. And knowing Nick, he thinks he can emerge from jail with some street cred and embark on a whole new reinvented tough guy shtick.

I suspect it will work out as well for him as it did for StyxQueerhammer666 who emerged from that traumatic weekend in a New Orleans jail surrounded by dark meat, with a clearly broken mind.
