Trump Says TikTok Buyer Is "Group Of Very Wealthy People"

President Donald Trump, in a pre-taped interview on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, revealed that "a group of very wealthy people" is prepared to acquire TikTok's U.S. operations. While he did not disclose the identities of the investors, Trump hinted that the names could be made public in the coming weeks.

"We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way. I think I'll probably need China approval, and I think President Xi will probably do it," Trump told Bartiromo, noting, "It's a group of very wealthy people."

Trump: “We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way.”

Bartiromo: “Who's the buyer?”

Trump: “I'll tell you in about two weeks.”

TikTok's future in the U.S. has been uncertain since the passage of the 2024 bipartisan law, the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA), which requires the platform's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to divest its ownership or face a nationwide ban. The legislation was fueled by growing concerns over various national security threats, including foreign interference in elections and potential misuse of sensitive user data.

Just weeks ago, Trump once again delayed enforcement of PAFACA through an executive order, pushing the deadline back to mid-September. The original implementation date had been set for his inauguration in January.

Trump has been a supporter of TikTok, recently touting his popularity on the app: "I was No. 1 on TikTok in its history. Can you believe that? ... So I guess I like TikTok."

Trump has tasked Vice President JD Vance with overseeing efforts to find a potential buyer, which could include Oracle's Larry Ellison and firms like Perplexity AI and AppLovin.

Totes "Outsider" alt-media Zerohedge is out today carrying water for Peter Thiel of all people, where he says, and I shit you not, unironically, we need to watch out for totalitarian one world govt. We also need to watch out for climate change!
I used to comment on Zerohedge, and while it was always a challenge to name the Jew and name the Nigger in the comments section, the censorship seems to have ramped up in the last few months, especially after Zerohedge got invited to the White House. They're definitely no longer outsiders now.

Even in the face of mudslimes and illegals flooding our first world countries, even with the sun setting on the British Empire, the white man's ingenuity still knows no bounds.

Their salutes are at too steep of an angle. It looks comical.

So was the great Iranian revenge shooting a bunch of fire fighters in the woods? Because that's pretty lame.

Sotomayor: The reverberations of the Court’s error will be felt, I fear, for generations. Unable to condone that grave misjudgment, I dissent.
It's amazing SJWs think there's "solidarity" between them and all the "marginalized groups" of this world, when in reality Islam is far more oppressive of women and LGBTQ++.

I figure they were always compromised and were given their first big "leak" story by whoever their handlers are. This seems to be a common tactic: let the comments be free and wild, attract the fringe, give a high-value "leak" or gain street cred in a similar way, mix it all with crazy shit so the fringe is never taken seriously and the waters are muddied, then slowly pull it back in. It's practically grifter 101 at this point.

Nope!

Max deduction on overtime will be 12.500$ and max deduction for tips will be 25.000$.
Euro detected.

The Senate kept this measure from the House version of the bill, but added on a $25,000 per year cap for the deduction and weakened the tax break for individuals whose income is above $150,000 or married couples making more than $300,000 combined.

I will not forget this. Buncha traitorous cretins.
“Sorry citizen! We were originally planning to cover that cut with the tax on remittances but that didn’t work out and well… We need a way to pay for the cost overruns on that new ICBM program! But hey, it’s hundreds of billions WELL SPENT!”

(Note the classic Pentagon hustle. First it’s “Oh yeah! No worries, it’ll be 100 billion dollar MAX! We will reuse the silos and save a bunch!” And then, once the initial outlay has been approved and the sunk cost fallacy established, only then do they go: “Heh, guess what… Good news and bad news! The bad news is that the new ICBMs will be cost twice as much. The GOOD news is that it happened in a funny way! Turns out we need new silos! Oopsies! Silly us, right?!”

Boy, can’t wait to see the triumphant headlines on Breitbart about BBB passing.

And ignoring the whole “everything based was taken out” part.
A pig like that you can't eat all at once. We're still seeing changes that have been unthinkable for decades happen in the first 6 months. There's hope if things continue in this direction.

When Al Qaeda wanted to attack America they attacked DC and NYC. So remember rich elite liberals, when they say they hate America they mean YOU IN PARTICULAR more than Cletus in the trailer park with his confederate flag.

Assuming you're using . to indicate thousands that's actually not horrible. Anybody who works for tips isn't going to make enough to get close to that limit... unless maybe they're in san fransisco and if they're suffering that's an added bonus in my view.

12k for overtime is a bit low but not that relevant. Most massive earners are on salary.

Oh please.

It was “NO TAX ON TIPS” not “No tax on SOME tips. Stop trying to excuse RINOs cucking out.

“Heh, I know we aimed for 10% tax on remittances, but guise… A symbolic 1% tax is kind of a win!”

Besides, if you’re a waitress working full time, those $25K will be half your yearly income real quick.

In 2023 the average income of a waitress was like $36.000.

I know waitresses pulling down way more than $50k a year on tips. The funny thing is, they don't report any of it, so what are you suppose to do, take the deduction but key off the govt that you've probably got a lot more you're not reporting? Seems stupid.

I haven't read the bill myself but this isn't how deduction caps work, although it also begs the question: Does this mean you can't take the standard deduction and what order are they applied in? Somebody making 50k a year who takes the standard deduction is going to owe maybe 5k at the most, if the first 25k is a 100% writeoff it's like they're paying taxes on 25k in actual earnings, if the standard deduction applies to that it's 10k which means they would owe a few hundred for an entire year on 50k in earnings.
The funny thing is, they don't report any of it,
I also wonder if this is supposed to fix the problem of people who do this getting fucked on credit approval. If they lie to the gov they have to lie to the bank as well. The entire tip system is so retarded.
