Also, if they're going to lie about taking the animals to the vet, they should at least have enough sense to Google how taking puppies or kittens to the vet actually works. Puppies have to see the vet for a series of shots and boosters once a month for several months.

So are all of these puppies male? If so, in a very short time, that trailer is going to smell like the pits of hell from all of the competitive marking that's going to be happening.

With our puppy we only had to do four months of shots and boosters, 3 for parvo/distemper/etc and then after three months of that a rabies shot.

I'm really curious where the 6 months came from, do they think puppies are like people? And even if they only went through a vaccine clinic, the people there should be super adamant about puppies getting what they need, especially so many. The vaccine clinic we went too was like that and we only had the one puppy.

I should've rephrased it as a gay-for-pay-type of deal +caretaker benefits, as being a mooch is a given.

It's good to hear that they've been shamed into taking the pets to the vet. The animals are probably going to have behavior issues from being taken away from their mom's so young, plus lack of attention and training... Hopefully the vet mentions something considering how young they are.

There are people down there that still think animals don't have to go to the vet. They are just scumbags.

I live near one of those states and have friends that do animal rescue. They to basically take care of these states, foster the animals and then drive many hours to take the animals to good home up north. A whole network of people work to transport the animals to good homes when needed - it's nice to see.

It's mostly the lack of spaying/neutering that causes the problem. It's also the fact you have almost no oversight for pets in rural areas, in cities and most populated areas you are required to have licenses and proof of vaccines for your pets. At best down south you have a $10 dog tax with no requirements except money to pay the fee and most of these assholes wouldn't even bother doing that. Kentucky is a prime example. Don't get me started on the ghetto areas with all the abused and neglected pitbulls that a bunch of idiots equate the dog to having a gun for "protection" and cred.

(I now appreciate so much that old Bob Barker dude on Price is Right when I was a kid reminding people to fix their pets at the end of each show. They should make it a mandatory message at the end of every dumb game show popular among rednecks, to bad spaying/neutering humans can't be added to it as well.)
