What was the last thing you baked? - I’m making Christmas cookies in April

Just pulled a loaf of banana bread (with pecans and chocolate chips) out of the pan. Waiting for freshly-baked stuff to cool is fucking torture:

I routinely do either banana bread and pound cake, and I keep trying to remind myself to put something like that in it to mix it up a bit, but keep forgetting. Even though I bought a bag of chocolate chips specifically FOR that purpose. Here's to hoping I remember next time.

I'm thinking about running to the store here in a minute because I wanted to do cookies as a late Father's Day gift to the family, but have only a cup of sugar left
 
Triple chocolate cookies for my mom's birthday! The cookies were fantastic on their own, but as they cooled they got slightly pliable and we fashioned them into cookie-taco shells for ice cream.

I mixed up some chopped apples, brown sugar, OATS, butter, heated that shit up until it got toasted, and until the oats were crispy as fuck, then put them on top of ice cream. Then poured some dulce de leche all over it.

Oh, dulce de leche, the major ingredient. Sous vide faggotry incoming: 185 degrees, 12 hours. It won't explode. And if it does, don't blame me, you did it wrong somehow. Just take off the labels on the sweetened condensed milk.

Yes! These came from Sarah Kieffer's 100 Cookies, everything I've made from the cookbook has been fantastic.
There's a few steps where you bang the pan against the oven rack to help the cookies spread, though I just take the pan out entirely and violently rattle it against the countertop.

We were still able to form the taco shape pretty easily after these had cooled for an hour or so, but if you had some kind of mold it might be easier within minutes of the cookies coming out of the oven.

Baked some chocolate chip banana bread this morning before work, I'm feeling under the weather today so it was a good pick-me up.

I got the recipe somewhere online and it originally was for a very tiny little loaf, which is nice if you want just a little bit of bread. But I don't want just a little bit of bread so I wrote a doubled version also.
When making the doubled version the baking time is closer to 45 minutes.
