Maybe he retained minimally competent counsel who advised him to shut the fuck up until there's a hearing. These initial HROs are granted often on pretty flimsy evidence and "arguments" that consist of checking a box. Because they deprive someone of liberties normally considered fundamental, such as speech, they are essentially a prior restraint and, worse than just that, granted without any opportunity for the recipient to respond.

So why isn't this unconstitutional? Arguably, it is, but the prevailing view is that while the infringement on liberty is severe, it is balanced against the threat of imminent harm. However, even so, such immediate infringements on liberty must necessarily be time limited and there must be a hearing, and it must be granted swiftly.

It's entirely possible Nick gets this thrown out, even despite his absolute imbecility. It's also possible he does jail time for violating it (and consequently his conditions of release) whether or not he gets it thrown out, because his instant response was to tell the court to go fuck itself and spend literally all day violating it.
