See above
Then call it "less taxes" and not "no taxes"
If you do the math, you'll see that if youre in any sort of well paying job, you can get maximum 5 hours untaxed overtime per week.
Sue me if I'm a little miffed that "no tax on overtime" turned out to be "no tax on a half a day of overtime"

Edit: turns out I am retarded and very wrong. I did my math incorrectly, you actually get about 36 8 hour shifts of untaxxed OT income. That actually isnt too bad as it means you can more or less work 6 days a week for roughly a little over half the year and get untaxed OT with a base pay rate of 28.75.
Still should allow for closer to every weekend in full, but its not as bad as i thought

Not collecting taxes DOES NOT ADD TO THE DEFICIT, YOU ABSOLUTE NIGGER.
Simmer down, and yes it does. Congress sets the budget at X dollars spent. The federal government collects Y dollars worth of revenues of all sorts. Y-X = difference. If difference is less than 0, it is a deficit.

I 100% agree with this. I was simply explaining why the original claim wasn't practical, but everyone who feels rug pulled here has a valid complaint.

Democrats have no majorities. At best, they could form a coalition to change some aspects of the bill, but they do not have the power to keep it from passing until midterms. Right now, Democrats are leaderless, and can’t find a unifying message other than “Trump bad,” which has gotten stale after nearly a decade of it. “Trump bad” obviously isn’t enough to win elections now, and the 2024 election proved that, so they need to start actually providing decent solutions over appealing to the lunatics.

The Democrats have become wholly reactive to Trump. Trump does something, so they reflexively do the opposite. This has had the effect of making them define their party around their most extreme, unpopular radicals. They had a chance to triangulate and seize the initiative back when Paul Ryan was dragging his feet on the Trump agenda, but now all they have is shrieking about how evil white men are.

Er, no.

The Democrats have been to the extreme before Trump showed up. In fact, Trump was a reaction to the extremes that the Democrats were taking in politics and culture. The Dems went full Radfem-SJW and Trump was the reaction to it.

The Dems went off the deep end somewhere around 2013-2014. Trump came to power in 2016, and even around 2016, the Dems didn't take him all that seriously until he won. But they were already off the rockers; full pro-immigration, legal or otherwise. Full pro-feminist, pro-choice, radical SJW types, treating white males as the privileged bourgeoisie and brown/black women as the proletariat.

As George Orwell predicted,
“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”

To erase the heritage that defines America, neoliberals teach lies in public schools.

Julie Pickren, a member of the State Board of Education, blows the whistle regarding indoctrination children will receive in Texas:
1751495195962.webp
She says the materials refer to our first president and Founding Father as a “terrorist leader.” American troops during the Revolutionary War were deemed to also be terrorists.

Pickren alerted her followers on social media that the course teaches that “Christian missionaries kidnapped Indian children and sent them to re-education camps to become Americans and Christians.” The lessons also allege that “Congress paid U.S. soldiers to scalp Indians.”

This being Texas, Republicans hold a 10-5 majority on the board.

However, four Republicans joined Democrats to pass the curriculum.

Anyone surprised by this must not be aware that allegedly Republican Senator John Cornyn introduced legislation to make historically inaccurate “Juneteenth” (a.k.a. George Floyd Day) a national holiday. The US Senate approved this grotesque fabrication unanimously.

Another quote comes to mind:
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

Large numbers of angry young men with no future burn down societies. I keep feeling like Trump is the least of the Fashys coming.
He’s a moderate compared to what we’ll see in the West. An aging population + youth discontent is not a good combination for the Western establishment. There’s not a way to vote out of this for a good chunk of the countries. The youth have everything to gain and nothing to lose. We’ll see a surge in more right wing populism and in communism, depending on the country.

My gut feeling is that it’ll be more of the former than the latter, but unironically I foresee a rise in nationalism and in benefits being tied to national identity as a reaction to the status quo. Austere conservatism that’s focused on “financial responsibility” and “free trade” is dead.

Imo the Western Elites have made a fatal error with mass migration. Not unlike their management with Africa and the Middle East they have downplayed the importance of culture, religion, language, annd ethnicity. They’ve gone from drawing arbitrary lines on maps to seeing their own countries as arbitrary lines on a map. Essentially an economic zone with an army.

The second is the oversimplified view on demographics. The idea behind mass migration is that they’d have more workers than dependents and thus prop up the gibs. They were trying to kick the can down the road but instead immigration is acting as a catalyst for decline because many of the importers end up on welfare or bring over dependents (children but especially elderly parents).

Furthermore, rather than addressing the underlying issues it’s just easier to blame the racist chuds and to clamp down on them. Rather than adhering to due process and historical values/precedents they’ll ruin those who ask questions. Imo this specifically is undercutting the legitimacy of most of the West and is ultimately setting up a more authoritarian future. “What is good for the goose is good for the gander.”

I always liked the message that US Humanitarian MREs have on them. This should be attached to every single dollar that is sent out of the country.

I cant wait. Some brownoids are going to seethe at the flag printed on the gibs. People in Gaza already have decided they would rather starve than eat Israel aid with any Hebrew writing on it.

In fairness I wouldn’t trust Israeli aid at this point, it’d probably be a sandwich with a mousetrap inside or something
