Netscape shot itself in the head in 1998 when it decided to do a rewrite from scratch. Any chance of saving the company died that day. Blaming Windows is a cop-out. Edge is thoroughly integrated into Win 10 & Win 11 and isn't doing any damage to Chrome at all, because Chrome is simply a better product and is free. Netscape was a better product than IE when the latter launched, but failed to keep ahead to justify its price, didn't modernize its business model, and ultimately just didn't offer value.

You lose all credibility for saying Chrome is a superior product. Edge is the same renderer and MS hasn't declared a jihad against ad-blockers. It also doesn't have the massive memory leak issue Chrome does.

Xbox was dying a slow death since it launched the first system. They were $12 billion in the hole at the end of that generation, only had two or three profitable quarters in the 360 era, and have been nothing but a money pit that no other company would have kept propping up for this long.

They brought nothing positive to gaming, and should have been gone decades ago. Good riddance.
