I’d say the implication is that ripping the soul out hurts like a motherfucker and requires a lot of willpower, and we would definitely overpower Kris if he tried it at that specific moment. But we just don’t know the full extent of his deal with the knight and/or Carol yet.
It's also implied that Kris may actually enjoy what's happening on the Snowgrave route, but he just doesn't have the balls to do it himself or that he wants the deniability of "I didn't do that, the soul did"

As far as shipping Noelle with anybody goes, she's just toxic waste manifest as a person. You can't do anything productive with it and if you let it do its own thing it just fucks things up. Her natural state is needing constant protection(Rudy), or being walked all over(berdly/Snowgrave/Carol). As soon as you let her do her own thing she starts pulling shit like lusting after Susie cause she reminds her of her sister, and also has a fetish for the idea of Susie bullying her.
If she gets a taste of power even a whiff, she immediately goes school shooter mode, because in Snowgrave she pretty much just woke up from a really vivid dream in the library then makes comments at her old babysitter like she's going to do something drastic.

The only time you can do anything productive with her is if you're actively trying to be anti-productive and just cause as much harm as possible(Snowgrave), and even then you're still just walking all over her.
She’s much less sympathetic without the trauma from Undertale, which is probably deliberate on Toby’s part.
Toriel’s response being “no fuck you I still hate you” really shows how much of a selfish cunt she is in hindsight, but what she wants just happens to involve being nice to human children.
To be fair, we still don't know what Asgore did that caused him to be fired.
While Toby has proven himself as a competent writer, it's things like this in Deltarune that I can't help but feel a little concern over. To me, Asgore and Toriel being divorced has kind of just felt like one of those "well it was this way in Undertale so it's gotta be this way in Deltarune" sort of things. The meme was to treat him as a divorced punching bag and so the meme of course follows him here. More examples being fishxlizard, burgerpants being wageslave, etc.

As far as him getting fired goes, I'm not saying this for semantics but iirc the wording was "removed from the force", and he was the chief. That suggests it was someone like the mayor who removed him and he didn't want to really step down. But then the Mayor is also supporting his failing flower business at a net loss, and also employing him to work for her just as her personal gardener and cleaner.
So that leaves us in a weird spot where. Whatever he did ultimately led to a divorce with Toriel, which means it must've been pretty bad, but not so bad that Rudy hates him, or Carol hates him, in fact everyone in Hometown seems to be perfectly fine with Asgore other than Toriel. Like a lot of things post Chapter 4, as far as theorizing goes it's either going to be something stupidly obvious or something we just had no way of guessing because we don't have enough pieces of the puzzle.

I also have a schizotheory as to where Sans nonsense and making Asgore a divorced punching bag originate from, but it's long, way too analytical of observed behavior with Toby's writing, and best to not subject others to.
What was that one Madjick quote again?
"Tinkle tinkle hoy."?
Yeah. It's a reference to Oyasumi Pun Pun.

Mein Negger this IS the place to sperg about obscure details or allusions in Toby's writing.

Unlike others here I don't hate Noelle and I'm glad she has glaring flaws now, because she IS a Tumblr teenager after all. What I'm hoping is that she grows and this whole "cute uwu bullied x le badass bully ship" dynamic doesn't happen, or if anything, if Susie does somehow return the feelings, Noelle ends up bored because Susie turned out to be nice and won't bully her. Now that would be 10/10 trolling.

Please Toby don't be a fag.

I don't see why he wouldn't do it, isn't it basically a repeat of the Alphys and Undyne thing that was similarly cringe?

Did you see Chapter 4? He pretty clearly hates everything about Snowgrave. Even minor dialogue in 3 and 4 show him being uncomfortable with what he's had to go through,

"Don't do Suselle" and "redeem Asgore" are my only two requirements for Deltarune's story. Nice perks would be "make Krusie endgame", "call out Toriel", and "don't add 20 different crackships out of nowhere" (Chapter 4 already dropped the ball on that last one).

What does any of this mean??

I don't know if this is a common idea or if there are more obvious connections to it, but I've been thinking that Delta Rune reminds me of Twin Peaks.
The whole normal/light world and strange other/dark world. The grey morality. The missing teen. Weird stuff going on without much explanation.
I even feel like the concept of Bob and "fire walk with me" is kinda similar to some themes going on in DR, especially in the weird route.
