I don't hate him. I simply think he's revealed himself to ride on whomever's shirttails is most beneficial to him. So I do have some minor quibbles with the overtime deduction. Unfortunately, you need to itemize to get it, and the overtime deduction appears to cap out at 12.5k, (25k if filing jointly). But the standard deduction is 15k (30k jointly), so you're going to need to find another 2.5k-5k of deductions to make it worth it, which might come up during SALT deductions, but then you might start trending closer to that phase out side and miss the overtime.
