Up to march/april that was not an unlikely result as it looked like back then.

Didn't he stop making vids about it around April/May?
And what I'm saying is that he refuses to admit he was wrong. When he's been asked if he was right or wrong, he doubles down and says that covid was terrible and doesn't admit that perhaps he was a little alarmist.

Yeah, it's retarded in hindsight, but he is a dying boomer. And like most boomers, they wed their survival to the notion of doctors knowing what the fuck they're talking about. So I get the alarmism; body failing, the world is as good as ending anyway.

I think for something like this it's like a weird power game for you. You know he was wrong. He knows he was wrong. The moment he knew he was wrong, he stopped making videos. It's not like he's Fauci or something where it makes sense to press him and get him on the record. I really don't get why it's important. What he got wrong wasn't even weird when he got it wrong. He got it more right than almost anyone at the time. It's like a detective who things he's following a good lead and then a trail turns out to be a red herring.

He wasn't even wrong to be alarmist, because the event itself was used for massive political purposes. Even if you think the disease was even just a flu in the beginning (it wasn't), the political ramifications were immense.

Think a lot of people here forget that when the coof first hit we didn't know if this was 90% mortality, fuck you you're gonna die levels of a plague or if it was an upgraded flu like it turned out to be. The chinks weren't exactly forthcoming and outright lied using the WHO as a mouthpiece that everything was fine, nothing to see here at first. Then you got the social media posts out of Wuhan of some crazy ass shit happening like people being barricaded in their homes and quarantine camps where hundreds of bugmen lay dying. In those early days when we didn't know shit, it looked like the apocalypse was coming, and it was coming in the form of bat soup. Truly the biggest happening of our times, but we never learn: nothing ever happens

Sure, and I've got no problem at all with that. My problem is with him refusing to admit he was wrong when asked about it years later.

I'm going to go dig up his exact words because he very much was wrong and refused to admit it. It's not a power thing. Learning to admit you're wrong is a very basic thing everyone does and not doing so is a good indicator of character.

I think Jim's in such a bubble now that he doesn't realize that most people find Vtubers to be weird at best to absolutely disgusting at worst.
Anybody who watches fat American women pretending to be a little cartoon Asian girl is a massive fucking faggot.
Jim soying out because they sprinkled a little old 4chan meme or two on them is so deeply uncool.

He can never recover from this.I don't know if he's a pedo, I just know Jim Metokur is deeply uncool.

Please do so. I only recall him sharing the insane videos out of China, laughing at the increasingly scary details emerging daily, and saying that as an immunocompromised person, he was being extremely fucking cautious. I don’t recall him telling people to get vaccinated or campaigning for America to be completely locked down the way we eventually were. (Ralph blaming lockdown and the US economy meltdown on Jim is one of the funniest and most insane things that fat cunt has ever said.)

I look forward to you sharing his exact words, because no one else ever has ITT.

Does anyone know of any archive of Milo Yiannopoulos interview with jim as internet aristocrat in 2014/2015?

"Death is the end of the world, for the death-visited person."

A lot of old guys we thought were cool really showed their ass during the boomer plague.

Metokur needing to be told to "pull up" like a certain small-town Minnesota lawyer was not on my 2025 bingo card. Then again, neither was an albino diabetic walrus landing in Syria.

I wonder if, in a few years time, Null or some other Internet Weatherman will be asking Jim "Was it worth it?". Guess we wait and see.

Without a family, his legacy is basically just the reputation that he had. I really don't know why someone would do this. Abject hedonism is pretty much the opposite of what I expected when I started watching Jim in 2014.

Think a lot of people here forget that when the coof first hit we didn't know if this was 90% mortality.
Around that time Metokur did a chat with Dick Masterson about it, and Dick said it would end before it hit 5,000 cases in the USA. A lot of people had no idea how bad things were until March 2020 when people were claiming two weeks would be long enough for the lockdowns.

To make things worse those in charge of managing the coof in the US had massive financial incentive to make it sound as scary as possible to cash in on the covid vaccines. I wonder how different it would of went if most of the people in charge such as Fauci didn't have massive amount of personal money invested into stocks of companies making covid vacines.

Does have even have a couple years in him t this point? He barely streams anymore and his home looks like it’s setup in palliative care mod. I am not happy with him simping for lolicon watching vtubers.
