''Top 20 Favoirte Games"
Runtime: 15;35
That's less than aminute per game. How is it possible to talk about things that you allegedly love but not even spend sixty seconds on each of them? You ask me about pretty much any game I've played in my life and I'll be able to tell you about it for at least a minute. Ask me about my favorites and you better have a comfortable chair.'
Say what you will about the Lightbringer, but when Linkara made a video about his favorite comic of all time, he spent a lot of time talking about why he loved it.
Because unless you're part of the 5 games Peet likes, they won't know what the fuck they are talking about. Hell, even the games they like, they barely know what to talk about without ripping off someone else, or trying to keep short since "I only like these because of this particular reason" isn't gonna cut it with anybody that knows them. You'll never see Peet talk about KH, and its positives. You'll never see this jackass talk about DMC, and how badass the characters are that aren't Nero, or Kyrie. And most of all, you'll never see them talk about how awesome the story of BG3 is because Imoen is not in it.
These franchises have so much to talk about, but Peet's worst aspect is that they gravitate toward only one while the rest can fuck off.
Whenever Lily talks about something positive, it's never because she likes it, but because it's "better" than something else.
She talks about Voyager because she thinks it's better than Deep Space Nine.
She talks about Kingdom Hearts because she thinks it's better than Dark Souls.
She talks about KOTOR because she thinks it's better than most Star Wars stories.
Lily can't just appreciate something for what it is. I bet if she reviewed K-Pop Demon Hunters, she'd spin it in a way that lets her insult anime fans yet again rather than talking about the movie itself.
I like how Lily uses parries as like defense (probably cause she hears how much parrying is associate with Dark Souls) when they implemented that cause they saw parrying in the movies…. Lily they did that cause they’re gonna emulate from the movies.
She can't just like something unless it's groundbreaking or a hidden gem... or not something done in Dark Souls.
“Of course Bauldr’s Gate name is thrown around to keep the name of DnD alive.”
Lily I get the subtle jab… but… this just shows how stupid and insecure you are.
Without DnD you wouldn’t have Baulder’s Gate… Without DnD no Mass Effect, No Final Fantasy, No Kingdom Hearts, No Dragon Quest. Hell the only thing that would still exist is Tolkien’s Work that’s because of how much DnD pulled from there. Wizards of the coast are running DnD to the ground but DnD survived satanic panic and theater kids. It will survive in some way.
What does Lily even like about fantasy? She's always complaining about fantasy shows like Delicious in Dungeon and The Owl House.
Fellas is asking for a refund cause a game that had a shitty ending that betrayed a loyal fan base alt right behavior? (I know it’s complex but I’m just simplifying it)
Lily will do anything to connect politics to her reviews.
I noticed how CDomo the chomo sure likes using the "pee on people" option in Hamtaro, I wonder was that one of it's inspirations? Also LOL at the creature bringing up the ability to inbreed in Rimworld in less then 15 seconds.
It's funny how she constantly rants about how depraved anime fans are when she's the one bringing up the pissing hamsters.
Why does she like Kingdom Hearts again? It's always been kind of odd to me with her track record.
I should preface this by saying I'm not very familiar with KH. However, to my understanding, the main character is a guy, there's no sisters or lesbians, and Sora is a very shonen-like protagonist (power of friendship, rivalry with a colder character who needs to learn empathy). I know there's a girl, but I can't remember her name. Does Lily like her?
I guess it fits into kind of moraly simple media (this is not a dig at KH btw, I don't expect every game to have a commentary on human morality) Lily tends to favor, because she can't wrap her head around anything more complex. It might be nostalgia too.
All she says is that it's somehow better than most anime for some reason. She never talks about the characters, worldbuilding, and gameplay in detail. Like you said, it's probably just nostalgia.
