yes hes so full of these little tricks. heard him recently saying "im not doing a double down, im standing by my principles" .... ie doubling the fuck down. he either doesnt know double down isnt inherently negative ie "i doubled down on it being a bad thing actually that children are killed" or hes playing dumb so he can just attach a label to the action of staying on the shit course hes on, and deny the label and argue about labels and shit that doesnt matter vs the core of the matter, ie was the supposed principle a good or acceptable one and were you an asshole in enforcing it.

Well without these "little tricks" and social manipulation I think he's nothing. I don't think he's anywhere near as competent as he portrays himself to be. I think the main thing going for him is slight social manipulation skills, and the ability to speak with confidence on things he often seems to know not much about. I don't think actually very good at anything constructive, and I think he doesn't really have the motivation to become good at anything constructive.

I've seen some people compare him to Nick Rekieta, likely in part because both of their threads big right now. But he really is alike Nick Rekieta. He does the same lying by implication technique. He's like Rekieta if he picked computer science as a degree as opposed to law, and liked sexualizing animals on Second Life, instead of grinding on EverQuest.

Great to see the strat pointed out in isolation. I think it's part of the broader tendency to take something that may have been true once and using misleading phrasing to represent it as something else.
