It's the best thing since sliced bread, how dare you.I hope they look forward to no one caring about this console in a decade.
Gamers increasingly want AAA games on the go, and so I think we will see the Switch 2 surpass its predecessor. This is precisely because it is a Nintendo console, renowned for innovation and its unique gameplay experiences, and because it meets the growing demand for gaming on the go — offering indie gems, Nintendo exclusives, and now AAA blockbuster titles.
You bought 2 of them? Why?I noticed this with my launch day Switch 2, which overheat regardless of whether or not it was docked, and my current Switch 2 doesn’t do this very often.
@McKennai has point about the internals not being up to snuff (remember that some units have been sitting in warehouses since November 2024) but I personally think the dock’s built-in fan might be funky, I can barely hear it when playing in docked mode but I’m not sure if it’s because Nintendo used a “whisper quiet” fan of if some docks have faulty fans.
For now. Nintendo's actively tanking its longevity. There's still a flourishing retro hardware market for their old stuff because it's still technically functioning. But who's gonna be buying Switch 2s in the future when there's a high risk they're bricked and their cartridges don't even contain the data for games? In terms of long-term secondhand resale value, it looks bleak to me.Thats not gonna happen, there is to many man babies invested in it now.
That's exactly what every console manufacturer wants. In terms of long-term secondhand resale value, it looks bleak to me.
hopefully warranty replacement or swapYou bought 2 of them? Why?
As @reptile baht spaniard rid mentioned it was a warranty replacement, the first one had issues playing in docked mode that were too obnoxious to ignore. You bought 2 of them? Why?
Nintendo will sue the shit out of them if they try. Not that it's right, but they will.Maybe that'll push 3rd partys like Gullikit to release some sort of cooling modkit for that console.
What stigma is that?I can't get myself to touch a Nintendo product again, the stigma nowadays
i will say that nintendo is a god amongst companies as far as support, they've repaired every single joycon the kids have demolished (I'm talking literally snapped in half off the switch) for free, and even an entire switch cheapo version that got bent in half for only $89.As @reptile baht spaniard rid mentioned it was a warranty replacement, the first one had issues playing in docked mode that were too obnoxious to ignore.
Nah this just means it's the most accurate Gamecube emulator ever made, they even got the Mem Card 2048 being an unstable hack job piece of crap correctGameCube nso memory card saves are prone to corruption. I lost all of my f zero gx progress + custom machines. Guess I'm going back to original hardware.
I guess they buried Mad Catz in Pet Semetary.Nah this just means it's the most accurate Gamecube emulator ever made, they even got the Mem Card 2048 being an unstable hack job piece of crap correct
I can see it happening.Going to throw out a theory, but this whole game is a stepping stone for the inevitable Illumination Donkey Kong film. The whole feel of it comes off as if Nintendo is prepping for a Disney-fixed DK movie.
Is there no cloud support for NSO?GameCube nso memory card saves are prone to corruption. I lost all of my f zero gx progress + custom machines. Guess I'm going back to original hardware.
I think the point was the saves themselves get corrupted, so it's that corrupted data that gets synched to the cloud service. Is there no cloud support for NSO?
What are you talking about? Both versions of Switch 2 talk to eachother and act the same, they just don't take each-other's games so that Nintendo can give its home market a price discount.Quite funny how they japs are yet again unable to partake in worldwide progression and norms, rather choosing their own little tamagotchi to have its own unique world and thus limited appeal. Unironically, without the chink quirk, Nintendo wouldn't be around anymore.
