I think the part you guys are missing here is that he was turbo begging about constant, vague "financial emergencies" so even if Khet ended up being true and the escort was false he was still lying to his audience and using tax bullshit and "muh bills" as the reason he needed tons of money.

You probably already know that but you're not stating it clearly enough - he wasn't just "hiding khet" he was telling people he was in dire financial straits, going to lose the house and a bunch of shit while he was flying in a chick and showing her around town and cucking poor subaru jeff

They can be divided but they are two/three/four events that are basically the same thing. I think people just look at the escort story as a bizarre side story but it was a huge thing because of the implications of it.

He was really begging about some pretty specific things so the escort story naturally fit. He was really putting on an act like he was in extreme financial distress. That's the only reason the escort story even got any traction - people knew with like 90% accuracy how much he was making, so when the escort came along it fit perfectly.

Then the escort story got proven false and Khet was revealed, but this still wasn't the whole story because the whole story wasn't actually known until people found out about WWE Champions and the bank leaks etc. The immediate take away people had from Khet was "oh that explains where all the money was going" and it was a semi-forgivable reason for some people since its semi-reasonable even though he was being dishonest.

To emphasize more clearly: DSP had such a black hole in his finances that a totally fucking bizarre story about an extremely expensive European escort gained so much traction that someone on fucking Twitter or Reddit happened to indirectly know the woman whose photos they were using. That's how fucking large the story was - DSP "owned the haters" by rolling out Khet and most people were like "oh, case closed". DSP effectively lied to people with Khet to explain his financial state and most people buyed it - in reality a few flights and shit are only going to end up being $5000 at most (what DSP spends on a single month in "business expenses".

People made hundreds of thousands of posts in this forum specifically about his finances and meticiulously and autistically detailed his income and the explanation for the giant black hole was not an escort or Khet but rather Hulk Hogan. People seem to gloss over how much his financial saga was the penultiamte cause of the escort saga. The real story at the heart of all of this was that DSP's unexplainable black hole with his finances was so autistic and stupid that it actually ended up that he had a gambling/gacha addiction that very few people expected. The escort story and Khet were just little play toys that DSP tried to use to distract the world from his gambling addiction.

@CannedBacon so that tracks, i figured there was more to the story. However, the story Wong told was DSP made sure he was correctly paid out when the cannon brother messed up his prize pool. If that is the interpretation he came away with I still have no idea why DSP hasnt been telling us for years the cannon brothers were scamming people out of prize money. Just seems like a really weird gap in pig behavior.

As for Phil’s habitual drinking, I’d just like to say that I think much of it comes down to his autistic mindset and view of being a “mahture ahdult”.

Well at least you can admit it. There are people that are literally jealous of him to an insane level and can't admit it. There was some fag years ago who was super mad that he got Khet and I phonebooked him because he wouldn't shut up and his mo-wife found out and was mad at him on Twitter (seriously) and then he disappeared

There's plenty of people like that who see it as "unfair"

But in terms of opportunities he has had in front of him, the grass is always greener on the other side. A lot of that Machinima and sponsor stuff probably sounds amazing from the outside but isn't necessarily all it's cracked up to be - Machinima went bankrupt and went through downsizing long before that. I think a large amount of early successful YouTubers went off and did other things because the competition is actually insane. The only reason DSP still exists is because he's actually unique and unforgettable - the number of people who had similar opportunities and fizzled out is fucking giant.

Tons of early YouTubers also just burnt out from the algorithm games and the fact that if you take like a week off you might lose 25-50% of your income forever. It's definitely not the easiest job ever in terms of stress - the main reason people hate DSP in this khantext is how he complains about how the easiest parts of it are way too hard and he overcomplicates everything because he's still at level 1. If he had an actually stable income this whole time then he'd be at level 2 and I think that is when burn out and other shit hits hard. He still doesn't even automate his leaderboard lol

*I wan't to edit this in because the whole jealous of Phil thing seems to be stemming from his early Youtube work but it seems to have been bled into his current content. Yeah I would say people were right to be jealous of that. But current Phil jealously doesn't make sense nowadays.
It's okay be jealous of Phil's money.
But it doesn't always just end up as just being jealous. There is always a descriptor after that can also fan the flames of people feeling that way. Not just a jealous person of his "success", it's a jealous no life-loser who is fat unmarried single and ugly and stupid and probably gay, and they are trying to take him down.

If Phil was humble about what he does, we wouldn't be here. But he can't be, because how he "makes it" is doing what he does that doesn't need much repeating(the begging and everything that goes with it). The thing that makes more discussion going is how much of a narcissist he is with how much he brags about it.

Anyway, I can see why people can be jealous of him. The anger that comes from it isn't from the fact he makes money doing this, it's everything else about it and how he's making it. I can't take another 150cc Grand-Prix week long circuit of a guy begging for $150 x10 to eat food again. It's an actual insane loop in an autism vortex to get caught up in just to cover with random online people and realizing how much of a waste of time it is. That's where the anger or frustration comes from.

It makes about as much sense to me as "Why would Kat ever leave DSP?". Well, because he's DSP? Like vapid women aren't leaving infinitely more interesting and infinitely more wealthy men than DSP every day.

The idea that it would be worth it to put up with looking at DSP every day in exchange for whatever's left over after he logs on to WWE Champions is the most revolting idea a person could come up with. It wouldn't be worth a million dollars yearly.

I think this is very much the case. I mean, sure, there's probably a handful of people jealous of current day Phil, but I think any real jealousy was arguably less about Phil himself and more a general jealousy towards early YouTubers. Obviously, Phil is still making way more money than he should today, but when you look at the grand scheme of streamers/content makers who make decent money, Phil feels less unique. I'd argue their content is also much more interesting/jealousy worthy than Phil, since they tend to actually do interesting things they enjoy and typically have a team of friends they work with. They also get to do bold things off camera like actually leave their house, take vacations, go to cons etc.

For me, Phil's finances were interesting back in the day when we had no idea what he was spending it on and it was basically a mystery to solve. Once we found out about Champions, eh, it lost a lot of the appeal. For me, there are way more examples of people who have absurd amounts of money they don't deserve than Phil. I won't deny some level of envy, but I dunno, I feel like by the time I was really an adult I had come to terms with the fact that there are thousands of people out there who don't deserve their wealth. And usually have levels of wealth that completely overshadow Phil, at that. It's just one of those things that you have to accept, because if you obsess over it and let it define you, you'll just end up being as bitter as Phil. That's why he's so quick to pounce on anyone that experiences some sort of unfortunate event, because he feels like nobody deserves success except for him.

Calling dsp sad, depressed or that he secretly hates his life is giving him too much credit, that would mean that he is self aware of his situation, keywords: self aware. And khet isn't leaving dsp, she has all the commodities she could ask for, she ignores dsp most of the day and doesn't go out with him (if it means not eating outside). She is pretty much living by herself and has a fat middle age pasty blob roommate bringing all the cash to buy whatever she wants. If you have any doubts, just remember dsp has said that khet would stay at home while he ran errands because she was "tired", when she even barely works. And also, we have on record when she dipped the fuck out when they were playing that yakuza dentdoko island side quest, no questions asked, just left, you can also see Phil's denial in full display "YOU'RE NOT BORED, YOU ARE TIRED!".

Phil has the legit good guy story that he saved Katherine from Subaru Jeff who she claims beat her and required a protection order, along with it being the counter to the Escort Saga. Which definitely means there's more we don't know that he doesn't brag about it constantly.

Phil claims Jeff beat her and that's why she got the protection order. If I recall correctly, it was only granted because he didn't show up to court so it defaulted in her favor. However, I just want to point out that Katherine owned a gun for self defense and could have easily defended herself if she feared for life like Phil claims she did.

EDIT: My point being, there was no "good guy" story that would held up under any sort of questioning. The only proof she had was police witnessing some unwanted sexual contact between her and Jeff.

Counter point, we should beleive all women when it comes to domestic abuse. So i believe phil because based on the size of those gazongas hes woman enough to never lie about this sort of thing.
