humans fail these outlier situations all the time too, that's how all the traffic accidents happen.
the question is whether self driving cars fail more or less frequently than human drivers. as soon as the answer is "less", that's when the push for self driving cars will really start kicking in.
And if the question becomes "If it's JUST self driving cars do these outliers lesson or vanish outright" then the implicit question is "should we allow human drivers" and the answer will be an emphatic NO, since not allowing human drivers achieves a shitload of other goals. (15 minute cities, ecofascist cult shit, forcing people into bugman hives, hurting the right, etc.)

That benefits Israel, not America. And given that America is not under threat from Iranian ICBM’s, I repeat my question. What benefits did bombing Fordow provide to the US?
You really can't see why the US would not want a radical Islamic state who is aligned with Russia/China that actively funds and supplies proxies to have nuclear weapons that it can use to shift the balance of power in the region? Israel Derangement Syndrome shouldn't stop you from recognizing reality

In a bit of unrelated levity I finished all the apprentice seasons with the regular joes and I'm currently going on celebrity apprentice. ( I left an overview in movie/tv recommendations)

One thing I've noticed is that Trump seems a lot more relaxed and genuine with the celebrities. It helps that he's already been doing the show for a while and he knows most of these people but it's really interesting to see another side of him. My favorite scene so far is when someone asks him " do you wake up everyday looking for a fight?" Thinking he'll say no and he replies with a straight yes. Everyday, every moment of his life is a fight that he relishes. That was a pretty cool moment.

When does President Trump become the dictator he's made out to be?

Several suspects are in custody after a police officer was injured in a shooting at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Alvarado, Texas, in the late-night hours of the Fourth of July, officials said.

Just before 11 p.m., the Alvarado Police Department said it was called to the 1200 block of Sunflower Lane, outside the ICE Prairieland Detention Facility, on a report of a suspicious person. When officers arrived, they saw a person who appeared to be carrying a firearm, according to a news release.

Alvarado police said that when one of the first responding officers tried to engage with the person, an unknown number of suspects opened fire. At least one bullet struck an officer in the neck, police said.

The injured officer was flown from the scene to a Fort Worth hospital, was treated and later released, Alvarado police said.

According to Alvarado police, several armed suspects were taken into custody after trying to flee the scene.

At this time, the suspects’ names have not been released, and police are investigating the motive.

A federal law enforcement source told CBS News Saturday that local police arrested eight people. The official said some of those apprehended were wearing body armor.

The source told CBS News that early reports indicate that more than a dozen masked individuals dressed in black arrived at the Prairieland ICE detention facility late Friday night and vandalized vehicles and security cameras in the parking lot.

The individuals launched fireworks in an apparent effort to lure law enforcement, the source said.

When reached by CBS News, the FBI declined to comment on the investigation.

Justice Department closely monitoring incident
The Justice Department said Saturday morning it was “closely monitoring the attacks on DHS facilities.”

“We are closely monitoring the attacks on DHS detention facilities in Prairieland, TX, and Portland, OR, and are coordinating with the USAOs and our law enforcement partners,” Justice Department Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a social media post. “The Department has zero tolerance for assaults on federal officers or property and will bring the full weight of the law against those responsible.”

Blanche appeared to be referencing an incident that occurred in mid-June in which three people were arrested outside an ICE facility in Portland after clashing with law enforcement, according to a report from CBS affiliate KOIN-TV.

Alvarado police are asking anyone with information concerning the incident to call 817-790-0919.

‘Balance of power’ is a hilarious misnomer when Israel is constantly destabilizing the region because it knows it has nukes and the US to back it up. There’s no balance there.

And let’s face it, Iran is not stupid enough to start a nuclear war that would see it wiped off the map, although they’re smart enough to know that having their own nuclear deterrent is a good idea when they’re one door over from the neighborhood’s most violent psychopath.

Personally I don’t think anyone in the Middle East should have nukes. Every single one of you fucking desert dipshits is insane and the sooner you all kill each other off with conventional arms the better. But if one of you has them it’s only fair for others, too.

You know. For balance.

  • "Not only would that be a gift to Donald Trump, not only would it make the job of Republicans in Congress easier if we were all mired in legal troubles ... [we are] a group that is disproportionately people of color, women, LGBTQ people — people who do not fare very well in prison."
What an extremely odd way to say “I’m scared beefy niggers will rape my old holes on repeat.”
