In the US how much does pension cover compared to the income seniors are getting at their age? I'm wondering if many if them have vastly overestimated how long their money will last when they retire, or underestimate how long they will live?

This cracks me the fuck up. "Oh no!
Not the consequences of my actions! I didnt think telling my voter base over and over again that we're living in 1930s Germany and Trump is literally Hitler would make them want me to do violent crime in response! How dare they?!"
  • Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), a high-profile progressive, said he believes "the most effective pushback to Trump's unconstitutional actions is to model a reverence for the Constitution and the rule of law."
If you guys believed in the rule of law, you wouldn't be freaking out at enforcing basic immigration law. Your voters are exactly as unhinged as you fucking made them.

I'm not sure, but almost nobody in the US has a pension unless they worked for the government. Lots of retirees live off social security, which isn't a funded program, it just gets taken out in new debt every year.

its based off of how much you earned during your working years as I recall. one of my co-workers who was a stay at home mom for the most of her life is screwed because she's only worked 2 jobs: Retail in the late 1970s and Retail in the 2020s. she's only going to get a few hundred. her husband on the other hand who was well-paid in the resource extraction field gets 3k a month.

put yourself in epsteins shoes for a minute: you're about to have all your dirty secrets exposed to the world, you're one of the most hated and reviled people on the planet, your life is over, all you have to look forward to now is dying alone in a prison cell.

is it really so hard to believe that he would off himself?
Yes. Because the last thing someone like Epstein would want to do before he dies is take everyone else down with him.

Also because wording is important: They're saying he didn't have a 'client list' not that he didn't have clients. I wouldn't expect Maxwell's appeal to go very far.

I prefer less-picky internal combustion engines that I can run off of kerosene or Everclear if necessary.
I love this concept as well, little diesel "burns anything oily" engines are great. If we are just running it for power generation primarily, I feel like natural gas engines would be good too. Wonder how many miles one of those quick-swap bottles for gas grills could last?

You really can't see why the US would not want a radical Islamic state who is aligned with Russia/China that actively funds and supplies proxies to have nuclear weapons that it can use to shift the balance of power in the region? Israel Derangement Syndrome shouldn't stop you from recognizing reality
The reality is that it only benefits Israel.

Trump saying that hybrids are doing really well makes so much sense, they are like the perfect middle ground and covers every use case people currently need their vehicles to handle. I don't know why we aren't pushing for more hybrids instead of chasing retard technology that doesn't live up to the hype yet.

Transition nearly everyone to hybrids first and then we'll talk about EV only once the tech is mature. They can even be plug in hybrids, I don't give a fuck. Even if we stick with tiny gasoline engines (instead of the kooky ammonia engines Toyota keeps pushing) they are so much more efficient than they used to be. I hate this all or nothing "smog machine OR mobile metal fire machine" narrative they keep pushing.
We should have every type, because this is America, and we should be able to decide for ourselves.

The Samson Project of 70 nukes in Israel is only for one thing. Global Retaliation against all nations.
Give an example of any Israeli official saying this. You retards are all the same.

The reality is that it only benefits Israel.
How does Iran getting nuclear weapons and shifting the balance of power away from the Israeli-Saudi axis benefit the US?

Why would we want a radical Jewish state to have nuclear weapons?
It's a secular democracy. You're trying to mirror my argument but you're too stupid to understand the difference between a theocracy and a secular democracy

If the US abandoned Israel, as it should, would Israel use nukes to fight its wars in the Middle East? I believe they would.
Israel had nukes during the 6 day war and Yom Kippur war. They didn't use them. You don't actually know anything, you just make the worst assumptions and go with them

While I'm not going FatPacks level doompill, the Epstein stuff does seem to make one thing very clear to me. Either the Trump administration is far weaker and can't reign in these institutions, and unlike the first term, they're now actively hostile towards him; or they made some kind of deal.

It seems to me like Kash and Bondi can't reign in the FBI and DOJ. They're willing to do things moving forward for him and work with him, but going back and investigating things from the previous administration is something the upper brass of the FBI is probably threatening complete revolt and defection over. There's probably a mutual agreement that Kash has to not go after certain people and in exchange these people finish out their tenure quietly. Older upper brass types who know enough secrets to be a real problem to deal with, and simultaneously too old to be worth dealing with.

Maybe Trump himself has largely the same deal. He can win, the assassination attempt will stop. They'll stop getting in his way, but in exchange he can't do certain things. I think for Trump himself, it's a lot more broad such as "You can't withdraw support for Israel" or "You can't go after Hillary". Something like "You can't pull funding for Ukraine already promised, but you can get a peace agreement if you're able to". It would explain the whole Iran thing and why things went the way they did. It's pretty clear anything with Epstein was off the table and it's why Trump hasn't commented on it.

On the other half of that coin, it largely seems to me that our government was/is just falling apart. Too many incompetent morons infested the Democrat party. The Republicunts have been infested with the same backstabbing ilk. The Deep State Beauracracy has largely been keeping the show running, but they're spinning their wheels at this point and aging is driving them out with no replacements. It's not necessarily because they're retarded, but rather it's just getting crushed under the weight of its own bloat. Too many cooks in the kitchen and a Deep State Presidency really strained the systems. It's why Trump and the MAGA Party seems to be able to just come in and steamroll over and do what they want in entire sections of government, and have so much trouble with others.

In-laws are in similar situation. Wife is getting like $900, while Dad is pulling in multiple thousands. Mom raised the kids and hasn't worked since the late 70s, FIL wasn't a high earner, but worked consistently until his late 60s.

Also, neither ever under reported their income. These people paid sticker for their house and every car they ever bought, probably paid significantly more in taxes than they actually owed. That seems to be a big factor in determining if you are eating cat food or pulling in $3.5k.

Keep in mind that if the high earning member of a couple dies, the low earner loses their check but gets to continue receiving the higher of the two checks.

Maybe there's nothing to show because that shit got deleted 15 years ago.
