I've been seeing numerous people on my personal social media talking about how great LA traffic has become, it makes me wonder if focusing so much on leftist cities might have the unintended consequence of improving the economy and general mood and lifestyles of them that it fucks over the GOP in the long run.

Gavin Newsom being able to hype up how amazing California is doing while hiding the fact that its because trump took a shitload of illegals out of his state.

One of my friends white kids just got their job and it was at a fast food place right by their house in LA, like its the fucking 90s. You really think that kid will ever get redpilled about minorities when the handful he sees will be the legal ones just like GenXers experienced?

edit:This might sound ridiculous but if you remember the 2000s you had books like freakonomics or other edutainment basically explain away a lot of the major victories the conservatives gave us because of the 90s crime bills and tough on crime policies.

like every person online back then would mock the old people for being scared to visit brooklyn or other major cities, they didn't experience the dark days so they just assumed a high trust society was the norm. Its why it was so easy for them to start up those anti-police movements in the 2010s, it was a whole operation by the left to get rid of Stop-and-frisk despite it being a huge reason NYC was able to clean up so quickly.
Insisting we make society suck so idiots vote for what we want is a ridiculous political position. Yet all too common in both right wing and left wing circles.

Communism is supposed to be the end goal of socialism. But in reality, it just leads to totalitarianism. Communism will never happen because humanity isn't a hive mind.

the only good marxist is a dead one, btw. Marxism is a mind virus and it should be eradicated.

I hope someone ass blasts him hard when he tries to pull this card. "See, it only took YEARS for my actions to come to fruition.". Especially if he runs for President in 2028.

Communism is just the end state of liberalism and the liberal state. It exists because despite three centuries of effort, liberal nations like France, the USA and others have failed to turn the lie "All men are created equal" into a truth. Pragmatic liberals like the US Republican Party turn the other way and shrug their shoulders content with embracing double think. Activist liberals like the democrats meanwhile fall towards socialism because they cant help but try and make the impossible possible. And pragmatic liberals can't really stop them because they fundamentally agree with the goal but not necessarily the methods.

Rare flood event combined with bad timing in the early morning hours and the overuse of the emergency alert system leading to learned complacency.
The failure is on the Texas state legislature.
I heard that despite the camp having a disaster plan and all the other alert/warning systems in place, too much water flowed through in such a short time in the early morning hours that it was a freak natural disaster that even the best laid plans wouldn't haven't prevented a tragedy.

If it's true the infrastructure was lacking, though, that sucks and something needs to be done about it so that it won't be an issue the next time.

As for emergency alerts, it grinds my gears when they are overused to the point people ignore them. In my part of Kiwi Land, we get alerts for potential bad weather - a lot of which never materializes or it shifts and goes elsewhere. It's gotten to the point people treat these alerts like the boy who cried wolf and ignore them, so it's not surprising people would ignore alerts for actual bad weather happening when they get so many small alerts that prove to be over hyped nothing.

It is rumored O’Connor plead the 5th
While I can respect him declining to answer on the basis of HIPAA (A medical privacy act for any non-US Kiwis following along), invoking his 5th Amendment rights raises the question of what is he hiding that he thinks he would self-incriminate himself if he didn't or couldn't cite HIPAA.

About damn time... now are they going to seize those farms? or is it simply a stoppage
They should start with Smithfield Farms. In the event of war with China, the chinks could poison and kill millions of Americans. After all, the filthy slants had a trial run with the Covid virus: they shut down internal flights throughout China but allowed hundreds of thousands of infected chinks to fly to other countries and contaminate the planet. China has not yet been held to account for the millions of deaths they caused all around the world.

According to Wikipedia:

Smithfield Foods, Inc., is a Hong Kong-owned American pork producer and food-processing company based in Smithfield, Virginia. Founded in 1936 as the Smithfield Packing Company by Joseph W. Luter and his son, the company is the largest pigand pork producer in the world.

In addition to owning over 500 farms in the US, Smithfield contracts with another 2,000 independent farms around the country to raise Smithfield's pigs.

Outside the US, the company has facilities in Mexico, Poland, Romania, Germany, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. Its 973,000-square-foot meat-processing plant in Tar Heel, North Carolina, was said in 2000 to be the world's largest, slaughtering 32,000 pigs a day.

Then known as Shuanghui Group, WH Group purchased Smithfield Foods in 2013 for $4.72 billion. The acquisition of Smithfield's 146,000 acres of land made WH Group, headquartered in Luohe, Henanprovince, one of the largest overseas owners of American farmland.

Because HIPAA doesn't protect you like that. If police or Congress is questioning you, the only thing that can shield you is the 5th amendment.

It depends on if Californians still retain some pattern recognition ability and notice that since the mass deportations their quality of life has dramatically improved
