As per usual when he received a tiny tangent of criticism for sounding unhinged, him

This remains unconfimed AFAICT. It also may be Matt simply throwing out chaff to confuse people.

IIRC, he was very disappointed in his two trips to NH last year and was unimpressed with what it had to offer during his forever home vanlife arc last summer, despite growing up in New England. I had previously thought he had ruled it out as a tax-free based state.

Presumably this was before the rented his current one-year lease. He was settled in and streaming on Christmas Day 2024.

He was aimlessly circling the country for months during fall 2024 without actually being much closer to securing a forever home.

He certainly yearns for the mountains of the West despite abhoring their politics and culture. And despite hailing originally from New England.

This is the other supposed selfie screenshot that exists in the thread pre-dox that he claimed was him in a screenshot from one of his old videos.

I believe the voice matches in the OG phonebook video, both the diction and the cadence. As someone who has listened to way too many of his livestreams to research the OP and thread.

Upon skimming the Careesi Twitter, I haven't found any definitive evidence so far. We had no inklings that hoe_math's old job could've been as a comedian. It was also assumed (confirmed?) that he was living in NYC during COVID, not SF. This Twitter account stops posting in 2022, a good year before hoe_math went viral. It also seems that this comedian Careesi was based in SF for the COVID year and before. It's possible that being a comedian was his "dream job" that COVID killed, that involved "dealing directly with the public" as he has let on before.

It's possible that he was providing misdirection with the NYC v. SF stuff. He has admitted to living in SF in the past, but it was presumed to be a good decade ago.

It would also be a little odd if COVID alone killed his "dream job" as a comedian. The comedy clubs would've reopened by 2021. Although he was unjabbed, so maybe he was still barred from working. Or maybe he just wasn't successful at it, and he just uses COVID as a scapegoat.

The lore that we understood pre-leak was that he lost his COVID dream job, then laid around depressed and unemployed for ?years sleeping until 4 pm and drinking Gatorade. Whereas he then had to give up his apartment and move across the country to live in one of his mom's rentals (originally from New England, presumed to be separated from his father, his dad is believed to be living in FL).

I would also add the quickly skimming the Careesi Twitter, the politics do also match what we know of hoe_math.

I agree with you that postmodernism has taken a toll on reason, AND that this is extremely negative for a great number of purposes, but I urge you not to fall victim to the pre/post fallacy. Intersubjectivity is a philosophy that is intrinsically superior to objectivity, which is to say only that intersubjectivity cannot exist without first having a base of objectivity to be built upon. It is like saying that graduate studies are intrinsically superior to undergrad studies — both are important, but you can’t get to the former without first going through the latter. The same relationship exists between objectivity and intersubjectivity. It is true that there exists an objective definition for every single thing in our universe. It is however also true that from any two perspectives — which must necessarily be different by definition — any interpretation of any objectively defined thing will be changed through the act of observation.

Think of it like layers of reality… on the objective layer, there exists person A, person B, and phenomena C. These will always exist as they are no matter how they are observed… observation cannot change this level of reality. On a higher level of reality, A observes C, forming AC, and B observes C, forming BC. AC and BC are necessarily different and ultimately unreconcilable. In this way, Intersubjectivity is founded on objectivity, and is heirarchically higher, but both levels of truth are important in a full definition of reality.

I urge you to understand and accept postmodern intersubjectivity and deconstructionism and realize that these philosophies are not in opposition to objectivity, but rather that they are inextricably intertwined with it. Both views are true independently of one another, but they are even MORE true when viewed as an integral whole.

The key is to incorporate rather than reject these ideas. That’s the only way we can towards even higher levels of truth.

This is mildy interesting and may cast some doubt on the lore behind hoe_math's moniker.
His own story re: its origins is that a viewer on his 1st viral July 2023 Tiktok left a comment saying "I didn't expect to wake up to hoe math this morning". AFAIK, a screenshot of said comment has never been posted here or in his videos.
He also has whinged for a long time that he wants to change the "hoe_math" branding to something more normie & advertiser friendly, but has failed to do so.

Here, we have a fellow liberal SF comedian that he presumably knew personally in 2022, who personally uses the handle @ ho_grammer
Now, it's possible that this Annette Mullaney switched her pseudonym for her social media AFTER hoe_math's viral success.
It's also amazing he was able to prevent his phonebooking for so long when he personally knew so many soc jus SF female comediennes back in his old life.

It's speculative, but it's possible the "waking up to hoe math" commenter lore he describes is simply cover that he stole his branding from Mulaney from his old life. And that the desire to change it to something more normie-friendly like "Soul_math" pre-phonebooking was about paranoia about someone from his old life ratting him out.

There was no evidence he lived anywhere but SF from Oct 2019-Feb 2022.
He was friends with tons of female and a few male SF left-learning comedians.
Other than wearing a mask for the latter half of 2020 playing his electric guitar, his politics seem very COVID-skeptic and right-wing all the way through while still having quite a few female liberal comedian mutuals.
He seems to have had old YT, TT & Instagram channels that are now gone.
