Siggers BTFO
I don't trust my P320 and never buy anything Sig anymore; but the video isn't as definitive as Protra makes it out to be.

Much of the testing in their own report they describe as unreliable. The striker safety probably warrants looking at but it doesn't explain guns just going off as the 1st and 2nd sear surfaces would have to fail as well.

I don't think we will personally ever explain what the fucks going on cause the entire P320 is a mousetrap of parts with shit QC.

You are somewhat implying that these guns are just going off in austere situations like sitting on a countertop or stored in a gun safe. I haven't heard anything like that. Its always the dramatic holster discharge. As far as I'm concerned, the part of the report that demonstrates putting minimal pressure on the slide and minor trigger manipulation can cause the striker to fall explains it. I don't understand why but it does create plausibility for why a holstered gun could discharge in a set of circumstances that is completely mundane and just a bit unlucky.

Also local archive of the FBI's Ballistic Research Facility report of the Michigan State Police Sig Sauer M18 / P320 incident.

Me as a recovering sigger (only have one early production P229 now) watching Ron Cohen burn the company to ashes

Why do you still own that piece of shit? At this point I'd sooner have one of those 100 dollar bill Hi Points than one of those things.
At this point, I just wouldn’t buy Sig products out of principle, even if they fix the P320, and even if some of their other products are decent. Sig just generally seems like a scummy company that sacrifices safety and quality for profit and which seems strangely ingratiated within the military-industrial complex, which seems to get them preferential treatment.

The P320's discharge issue can be explained in two simple words. Jeet Parts.

My first handgun was a P229 in .357SIG mostly because I was a massive X-Files nerd and figured .357 had to be the best caliber ever since US Air Marshals and my State Troopers used it. Shame how the mighty have fallen.

Making a Cali Cuck pistol grip on your ghost gun doesn't make it any less illegal in Cali.
It kind of does. Manufacturing an unserialized weapon is a wobbler (felony or misdemeanor, depending on circumstances and DA), while an unregistered assault weapon is just a straight up felony.

Would you rather get caught speeding, or get caught speeding while drunk?

Was the .357 sig featured in the X-files? I remember Mulders season 1 glock and then the S&W 4506 after that and scully's PPK.

They banned "ghost guns" and didn't even make it an automatic felony? Guess they were afraid they'd lock up too many groids with Polymer80's.

Scully used a P228 .40 cal - since the difference between it and the P229 is borderline zero and I liked .357 Sig more that's what I went with.

I will say again, it's a fucking travesty that Sig USA is allowed to tarnish the name of a proud quality Swiss company Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft.
>Really love Swiss firearms
>Want a genuine Swiss made SIG 551
>Look on GunJoker
>That'll be 7000 shekels

It hurts so fucking much. IIRC prices are that bad here just because GayTF ended up slashing JDI Firearms by the ankles so they could only bring in so many "pistols" (rifles without stocks) into the country at once.
Maybe if I fly my ass to Switzerland and annoy Karl Brügger enough he'll import them through B&T for the low low price of 5000$ before a scalper markup of another 3000$.

I had plans to get a P365 and if the P211 had come out even a year ago I probably would've jumped on it. The only way I would ever buy any other Sig now is if Ron Cohen is publicly defenestrated out of his 110th company and Nu-nu Sig issues a public apology and offers to replace everyone's remaining 320s with the P320A1 (basically a scaled up P365 FCU that has no parts in common except the mags) for free.

Well, my days of complaining about no affordable delayed blowback 9mm PDWs is over.
Matador's selling their roller-delayed MAT-9K for $575, and they're compatible with most any AR9 lower. With some good deal hunting, I'll likely be able to build an american-made roller delayed blowback 9mm PDW that takes glock mags for about $800.
Gonna wait to see what PSA is cooking with that X9 first (or wait for really nice deals), but I think this'll be my next build.
PSA new roller delayed blowback AR9 totally came out of left field.

Mags are PSA ones and CZ Scorpion ones
Digging a little bit it seems like the contract to purchase p365s started in late 2024, with a contract open for p365x xl and macro versions. I'm guessing these are just for their backup or for agents who are allowed to ccw and not for duty/open carry? It'll be interesting to see if Sig can manage to convince any of these large contracts to not hop back to Glock, M&P etc. for their full sized duty pistol but switch to the p365 Fuze instead of fully abandoning the Sigs.
Probably and the P365 doesn't have the "it goes off by itself" reputation.
Fun fact: Alameda Holsters sent Gersh Kuntzman a tampon holster and they still make them.

Aha holy shit that's amazing
Last gun sig made that was worth a shit is the SP2022.
Ehh I'll a say the entire P365 lineup is good.

SIG actually gave a shit with it.

Also, between a CZ Bren 2 (the 3 probably won't be in the USA anytime soon) and a B&T APC 5.56mm.... which one to get for a Euro short stroke rifle?
