I had plans to get a P365 and if the P211 had come out even a year ago I probably would've jumped on it. The only way I would ever buy any other Sig now is if Ron Cohen is publicly defenestrated out of his 110th company and Nu-nu Sig issues a public apology and offers to replace everyone's remaining 320s with the P320A1 (basically a scaled up P365 FCU that has no parts in common except the mags) for free.

Now we're really getting into my field of expertise. I'm a total AR18/AR180 snob who has gone through almost everything on the current market from Tommybuilt G36s to Scar 16s, CZs and APC rifles. Of course just the words "euro short stroke rifle" should be enough to banish every single poor within earshot. The CZ Bren 2 is running at around exactly 2000$ while the APC223 whether in pistol form (8", 10" or 12" barrel) is going to run you right above 3000$ which is Scar territory. Given the massive price difference between the two it's going to be difficult for me to argue against the Bren 2 given its combat tested capabilities. There's plenty of aftermarket for it, and you're going to need it because the handguards that ship with Bren pistols above 8" in barrel length just look plain ugly. The action from what I remember is nice and the gun is fully ambidextrous. IIRC they also ship with a buffer tube adapter from the factory so you can fit an AR pistol brace with ease.

Yup it was an off the shelf thing at one point. Personally not bad deal price wise. My body I do not like that angle of the stock but ymmv.

Depends on how much he plans to shoot. .22lr is fun enough that I shoot it frequently, enough that I buy a thousand or so rounds in bulk when I restock. One thousand rounds would last some people I know a decade or two as they shoot super infrequently.

TBH It's a tough call to make. Modern AR18/180 derivatives are fucking sick, especially if you're looking to run suppressed very often. The issue is that you're going to lay down some heavy cash either way and if you want the battle proven "best of the best" I'd just settle for a Scar 16s. Barring that naturally, you have the Bren, the APC, the Crusader Arms Templar, and not much else. The Templar is interesting because for some reason AR18s get looked over in Cuckada quite often which leads them to being unrestricted items.
