I can't imagine having a samoyed. They're supposed to be professional cuddlebugs with an extreme drive for closeness.

One time I got a cat who was hand raised and not a feral rescue and he was soo cuddly he figured out how to open round doorknobs. I loved him a lot but he got himself in a lot of trouble throughout his many years and I had so much fur in my eyes and nostrils.

ETA I have never used fabric softener. @Mound Dweller fabric softener is to soften things and does so by coating fibers. It can hold dirt and oils and can make fabric look dingy or worn. Your clothes shouldn't smell off with or without it. If they smell like mildew, you're possibly letting them sit in the washer too long after running the machine, or not getting them fully dry and similarly leaving them damp in there. A detergent should do just fine. If fabrics are scratchy, I'd use a dryer sheet over a softener, but tbh I use neither, and my clothes smell and feel fresh and clean.
