It's literally just a Steam emulator.
We know by his source code that the only thing he did to "protect" against this is a hard check for appID = 480, which is a common one for this purpose.
In this YT video the person uses appID = 400, which is for Portal, and it's done.

Ok, I ended up finding the full story behind the mailbox using twitchtracker clips and some investigating into the vods.

So, basically, 2 days before the tweet, Mald had to put a mailbox at his mansion, which previously did not have one. He put it in the wrong place, and was forced to move it again the next day. When he woke up, he found construction going on(the stuff he was bitching about), which he claims he was not informed about and proceeds to move the mailbox right next to the construction, because malicious compliance. Curiously, he already mentions how the mailbox cannot be touched due to it being a federal crime.

Mald acts like a huge cunt to the construction crew, even if they did make a mistake by not informing him.

A viewer calls in, asking Mald how to be maliciously compliant, and Mald suggests to always double your evil actions.

1 day before the tweet, Mald wakes up to find that his driveway was damaged by the crew, and that they touched the cables he used for his personal network provider. However, the driveway damage was repaired. Once again, he repeats the "federal crime to destroy mailbox" narrative

On the day of the tweet, he wakes up to the incident with his mailbox. Curiously, he mentions on stream that it was purposefully destroyed, and that he had footage from his security cameras that had been sent to the police report, both statements were missing in his tweets(unless i missed it)

Around a fortnight passes, and Mald claims there is no update on legal proceedings. I did not find a clip of him talking about the police report.

Honestly, I think it's bullshit, especially if Mald doesn't tell anyone about a follow up police report on the situation. It just seems so bullshit that the workers would get their tools out and smash the thing to bits because they hated him that much.
