I don't follow DSP but I have been watching a lot of CvS2 and Justin Wong content recently, and saw a video where they ran into each other on ranked. I heard DSP is dogshit at games but he did surprisingly well against a professional player, one of the best, he even almost won at one point. Is he just good at this game in particular or maybe this genre, or something? I know the developers of God of War said they made the game with low skilled players like him in mind.
He's bad and also gay. I hope this answered your question.

DSP is pretty average at CvS2 for someone who played it as much as he has and had a massive advantage team wise since Justin was R4 Sagat and tbh Justin just kind of dominated him with very basic stuff.

I was actually feeling bad for him, because health problems, or family issues are universally regarded as things that are sad and frustrating.
But then immediately within like 2 minutes of him talking I was back to hating him again. It's absolutely uncanny how he works.
He talks about things that he should be doing, and then doesn't do what he talks about.

You are talking about the set where he got 10-0'd, right?

He's decent at Capcom fighters because he played them for years and years, and that's about it. He'll get schooled and made a fool of in any other game, even other fighters.
I see, that makes sense.

I saw a video of him freaking out because a female character wasn't wearing a burka so that checks out.

Wong also tore through good players at a tournament recently using R4, it's viable and Sagat is arguably the best character in the game (I say it's Geese, fuck that piece of shit). He beat some of them at the tourney even harder actually.

Yeah, that's the one. Was there another?

Ya he tore through a bunch of meh players and lost to an OG I saw it but R4 being "viable" doesn't mean shit because it's still far behind a normal meta team. DSP was taking that match serious to the point where he started talking about a renewed focus on fighting games while Justin was just talking about how DSP spammed his DM's begging for a set.

Go watch DSP play CvS2 the rest of the time and he is raging while losing to shitters begging to face people who he can farm for points and upset people are roll cancelling (which DSP can't do just like many other game mechanics cause online lag)

He is objectively decent at fighting games but he's at the worst point of the dunning-kruger curve, and Justin was handicapping himself by playing R4 Sagat. If you watch other fighting game streamers I would compare DSP to someone like Sonic Sol, even though that guy is much better at fighting games than DSP is. He just has an attitude and nastiness about him when fighting vs "randoms" that he displays constantly.

The players seemed pretty good to me, at least better than the average online players I run into. DSP was obviously trying harder than Wong though, really sweating it out.

Do you have a link? Seems like a fun watch. As for roll cancelling, I'm pretty sure it doesn't even exist in CFC2, at least ranked mode (thank God).

Yeah Phil is pretty good at a handful of games that he played a lot way back when. The problem with Phil isn't so much that he's bad at games (he is bad at a lot of games though) but his toxic asshole attitude and complete inability to accept blame for anything ever. He puts on a fake nice guy persona when he's playing someone he knows is a pro streamer like Justin Wong or that time he got whomped by Snake Eyez but against anyone else he's a massive prick when he loses, and an even bigger prick when he wins.

DSP calls it "roll cancelling" but it's just someone rolling and throw spamming him its not the actual roll cancelling stuff and he gets super upset if you throw him twice in a row.

Ya he treats everyone he plays like they are a retarded lag switching throw abuser until it's someone he knows. Remember his stuff vs his friends 2 weeks ago where it was actually laggy more then it's ever been and he was incredibly chill about it then immediately talking about lag switch vs randos lmao

Memology DSP has a bunch of videos, like this one.

Phil usually plays fighting games on Friday, and he sucks against any decent player. Phil actually bought Street Fighter 6 three times to farm beginner players; once he got to Master rank, he couldn't ever get a winning record. He got filtered in the new Tekken and MK games too. That's why he likes to play older games and use cheese builds, but still loses, rages, and whines.

Am I the only one who's a bit puzzled by the resurgence of CvS2? I mean those games along with MvC2 were just literally taking assets from older games and not doing anything with them and it showed compared to new made characters.

I only saw one clip of him playing SF6 but he's at least better than me at that one, drive rush is a bitch to use and I fucking hate it, worst mechanic in the series. It's just cumbersome as fuck to activate, especially without activating parry first and tipping a player off that it's coming.

So he cheated by playing against himself or something? That's pathetic lol. Does he stream on YouTube?
