This podcast was filmed months ago when Sam was still on tour, which is why he is asking the host to come out to his show. At least I think that's true I could be wrong because Eric had nothing to do with the standup tour but is present in the video. But if it wasn't filmed months ago then what show was Sam promoting??
I haven’t seen a lot of people mentioning this but it seems like Markyposting has really broken containment in the past two years or so. Markyposting for years was something that was only really known by dedicated fans or haters on 4chan because of Channing. 2 or 3 years ago, if Sam were to get posted on a site like reddit you would just see your typical “he’s a nazi” “he’s a racist” posts. Now you’ll openly see people calling him a pedophile or a rapist. There’s sort of a bell curve were Sam Hyde haters and hardcore MDE fans know about Marky but only the casual fans deny or don’t know about it. Even Hasan and Fantano are now Markyposting.
I was a big Harland fan when I was a kid. Rocketman and Dumb and Dumber were my 2 favorite movies by far, and I thought the piss drinking scene in Dumb and Dumber was the funniest shit ever. Been watching Harland Highway since the first episode (at least the guests i can stand) and from what I gather Harland is a genius. He knows about literally everything his guests talk about. He was a Forest Ranger in Canada for a long time too. Sam probably watched one episode, thought he was the dumb character he plays on the podcast, and decided he was gonna own him and get a bunch of free publicity. I really do like Sam but this made him look like the type of person he talks about hating all the time.
I wonder if this incident contributed to Sam being so low energy and distracted on Fishtank S4.
I don't know why he thinks pretending to be a philosopher is gonna take him anywhere, every time he attempts something serious he fails. When it comes to his more serious videos, all he does is skim a couple of articles and forum opinions and then shits out a vid where he rambles with no real point. His faux-intellectual takes hold as much water as a colander, he has nothing to offer but laughs but for whatever reason he doesn't wanna admit that to himself. If anything he's insecure about being only the jester, the podcast only enforced that. The only reason anyone takes him seriously is because he still has a little bit of that internet daddy persona left over

I wonder if this is because there's a lot of people now who watch Fishtank but don't care about or like Sam Hyde. So when they hear about marky instead of defending him they spread the word. I have no idea how many people are following Fishtank yet dislike Hyde, but Fishtank is pretty unique and interesting and isn't really about Sam Hyde anyway so I wouldn't be surprised if there's some. Meanwhile I think pre-Fishtank Hyde had a small but die hard group of followers, and nobody outside of that really cared about him except for knowing he's "problematic" or something

that would be the Bradley Martyn podcast, that was Mayhem Miller and I don't believe Sam invited him on I believe that is Bradley's +1. The funny thing is tho, if you listen to the whole thing, Mayhem is basically like "but why hate ppl for the color of their skin" and Sam's response was, "but I think white people deserve to exist! It doesn't mean I think we are better than anyone else!" Literally a complete middle of the road "let everyone be equal" meathead was able to cuck Sam's race realism and shit. Atleast that's the way I saw it.
