Blue Archive - The south Korean Gacha game that almost died, is now being released on Steam this summer.

I either got really fucking lucky or Arona took pity on me.

Completely forgot about it but if you've got the Pyros you must absolutely pull for S. Hanako since her damage output is utterly broken.

Only have 2 3 stars after my 100 pulls....

Anyways is there anything worthwhile for a newbie at the shop? Also can you point buy 3 stars with all the shards?

Yeah 120 shards can be turned into a 3* unit iirc. But not Unique units (banner-limited).
At the shop I find value in getting stamina items in the PVP tab and in the regular tab the inexpensive upgrade materials at the bottom 2 rows. Money disappears fast upgrading units so I don't get anything else from the normal tab. Everything else ought to be your judgment of what you need

I mean I do think some people take it too far, but look up "Blue Archive trans" on Twitter and you'll see that most posts are them complaining about how hostile the BA community is to the very idea of trans characters
Now the community should be hostile towards lolifags next.

That part of BA community choose the "infamous" kayfabe route to gatekeep out tourists. Coupled with them being able to differentiate between fictional characters and real people.
Everybody can do this.

Meant more like a daily gem count. I also saw there was a Choose 1 three star card available for sale.

If you're talking about a pity system, the only thing that comes to mind is sparking, being able to buy the character in the banner after 200 failed pulls. If the banner is over and you haven't used the shards from the failed pulls, they will be turned into credit.

Still, there will be plenty of chances for you to get more characters as you progress the game and do the guide tasks. IIRC, one of the guide tasks rewards 3* Hina, which will easily clear all red enemies you'll encounter.

I mean the kind of subscription that you get every day some gems, so you can save up currency when a big banner drops.

You need 24k pyros to guarantee one spark, it's recommended to only pull if you have enough to spark as pity doesn't carry over and gets turned into crafting materials when the banner ends. The monthly pack gives you 1200 pyros over a 30 day period, or one 10 pull. Personally, none of the shit you have to paypig for is worth it, except maybe the choice tickets as it guarantees you one type of student or sometimes it just outright lets you pick one from a list but those are limited and only run for 1 month out of the year iirc. Back to what I was saying, none of the pyro packs seem particularly worth it given how much the game showers you with them for free, the price-to-pyro ratio seems shit, at least to me but BA is literally the only gacha game I play and have ever played so my perspective is limited.

In general, depending on whether you're a meta sweater or just someone who does the bare minimum for raids and PvP, as a F2P you can reasonably expect to earn 24k pyros every 2 months or so. If you're a new player, you get them much faster for a certain period of time, you get them from getting 3 star clears on every mission in a stage, you get them while going through the story (be it main or club stories), you get them whenever you read the momotalks of students, you get them when you do the Event Recap guide tasks (those are especially nutty as you can get 1200 pyros in a week by just doing those) etc. Once those run out, then you enter the "one spark per 2 months on average as a F2P" stage of the game.

As Big Brown Schlub said, pretty much everything you do will reward you with Pyros one way or another. During my peak saving period I had roughly 80K just waiting for the specific characters I wanted. Volume F will shower you with Pyros, so for now, I'd suggest just keep playing and saving.

Fun Fact: For day 1 players, Nexon has so far given for free 182,345 Pyroxenes (1520 pulls) for random arbitrary milestones and maintenance.

Thanks. Full spark every 2 months is surprisingly generous. When I played Genshin when it came out I think it was half a year even with the monthly packs.

It is, the caveat is that the roll rates are abysmal, even for the rate up characters (I mean 0.7% come on brother). Oh, another good thing is that us Global players can easily plan out our pulls, we have 6 month delay on banners and events since JP and KR are that much ahead in their events and banners, I think they're thinking shorten it to 3 months delay next year but that's still pretty good.

So as a new player, should i save up for the next fest event?
It's generally a smart idea to save up for Fest for any player both new and old, I actually saved up 48k for this one as I wanted both Rio and Swimsuit Hanako, but I ended up only having to spark for Rio and even got School Neru in the first 10 pulls. In any case the reason why it's particularly smart for a new player is that the chance to get a 3 star is doubled from 3% to 6%, allowing you to get a lot of new girls or having a high chance to get bonus elephs for those you already have. Next Fest should be either last week in January or first week of February. Also, you can get the other Fest limited characters even if there's not a banner for them in the current Festival, for example I managed to get Wakamo as she's Festival limited but as you saw she doesn't have a rerun banner going on currently.
