Nah, it absolutely IS different. It's very common for a woman to have their own Mom present for a birth, much less common to have a Mother-in-law. Simple reason is that whoever is present at the birth is gonna see the pregnant Mom nude. I mean, not all at once, necessarily, but if you're watching a birth that isn't a planned C-section, you're gonna see vagina and butthole and areolas, and fuck no I didn't want my MIL in there during all that.
