JP games are locked to JP Switches/only have Japanese language support, don't they?
The original Switch is completely region free and you can link nintendo accounts that were set up in different areas (or just registering on a different regional version of the signup page) and if you got a Japanese version of a game, you're usually stuck with the Japanese language support if the game doesn't have multi-language support or you don't know how to change the language in mid-game. The normal, the non "cheap Japan-Only" versions of the Switch 2 should be the same since they don't force the arbitrary lock.

E: Here's a better idea for what you'd expect for alternate region compatibility for the non Jap cucked models

Putting aside the brand itself. Let's say you really enjoy Nintendo games. If you want the best experience isn't the right move to just emulate?

Nintendo has always had underpowered systems since arguably the super nes.Outside of moral arguments on the validity of piracy why wouldn't you? Nintendo online servers are so shit they are near unplayable anyways.
Please point me to the nearest Switch 2 emulator. Oh, wait, there isn't one.

Edit: To the guy above, sorry I was only talking about Switch 2s, I know regular Switches are region-free.

Is it in English?
It should be as it is listed under supported languages, but will update on Thursday.

Hope you have a JP Switch and know Japanese.

Actually, S2 codes are JP region-locked, right? I'm not wrong here?
Kind of, you just got to switch your account region to redeem the code, after that you can switch back to your original region and download/re download the game without ever having to do it again.

Switching regions does remove any coins and left over credit you have in your account however. So in that case you could make another account just for Japanese games.

To change account region here

Amazon site with download, just make a new amazon account and put in a random Japanese address

This is the Switch 2 thread, don't bring emulation up if you don't want to be told that there aren't amy Switch 2 emulators yet.
I didn't bring it up. I just commented because it's incredibly retarded that you'd be so smug about the impossibility of an emulator existing when the console has been out about a month and has a single exclusive game.

Good to know this thread is still spergy as ever. Anyway I’m sure this color scheme won’t have any negative repercussions.

I legit see no reason to own a Switch 2.

The steam deck won by just being what it is, a portable gaming computer with no catches and drawbacks. No bricking nonsense either.

It's weird how Steam just tends to just win by just standing there and let the competition boycott itself

With a steam deck 2 on the possible near future, just why the fuck would you need the switch 2 given how by then we will have the perfect portable emulator machine when that arrives ?
Owning a steamdeck I can say that the lack of being able to obtain certain spare parts let me a bit down on the repairability side of things, some of these parts are also made for a specific revision of the steamdecks Mainboard and requires sending the console to valve for repairs. (better repairability than Switch 1/2 & other consoles but thats still a drawback imo)
