What about the person from X, Hardtokillirishwolf (@angmarsbane10,) that allegedly went to visit her and advocate on her behalf?
Did Vicky ever address/thank them?
It keeps nagging at me because it’s the only tidbit that lent any credibility to this hospital visit, but that whole event was odd in itself.
It occurs to me that a good plan, for someone who wants to be helpless and yet getting attention, would be to establish an "advocate" sock puppet account
now.
No way she is in an actual hospital where some chick is lighting up her Yankee stash. No way.
Agree. Even having unlit candles sitting out is going to raise the hackles of any staff in there: what are you
planning. If this were real Vickie could stop this immediately by hitting the call light.
Another baffling oversight: poonery. In this story, either the hospital has roomed her with a woman without Vickie screaming about transphobia, the hospital has roomed her with a man (a man who likes scented candles) and put themselves at risk of Vickie doing an "I feel unsafe" play, or the hospital has found another pooner to cohort.
Hey, what if the "respiratory illness" Vickie is worried about is something noninfectious like COPD? Educate yourself, bigot. Although it still makes these alleged scented candles questionable.
Like a lot of people, I had thought the hospital posts, or at least the first ones, were something really happening to Vickie as viewed through her egocentric lens. It was all straightforward: "I'm super sick with these normal vitals" munchie talk but nothing outrageous. She wasn't claiming they leapt at her with IVIG and everyone clapped. "Falling" to teach staff a lesson and being moved closer to the station (and not understanding the real reason) seems hard to make up--if it's complete fabrication, that's when she'd post "being intubated post more later."
Then nothing, and now she's bitching about a roommate with candles. Again, I had filled in the gaps with something that made logical sense: not posting about the discharge process due to ego injury or being busy, now in some housing where her oxygen can be delivered, other humans dare to exist.
I really don't know what to think now. Vickie normally posts with folk ballad structure: "leap and linger." Multiposts on something mundane, then sudden action shift with no explanation, but it fits the thread of things.
Tentative Theory: hospital was real, narrator unreliable, Vickie manipulated a longer stay as usual but did discharge. She's now in some kind of temporary housing, maybe to wean oxygen, and she hates it so she's just not posting that she discharged; anything "the hospital" does now is really some medical shelter doing it.
