In an age where people want more sincerity and authenticity, it’s pretty obvious Democrats will only latch onto certain topics as a “gotcha” instead of wanting actual justice. Democrats can pretend to care about labor rights all they want, but it’s hollow because the Democrat party as a whole is in support of illegal immigration, which actively hurts both the middle class and wages. They also pretend to care about pedophile cases now, while also still supporting troons and mass migration, which have been shown to increase the rate of sexual assaults and rape. It’s possible to think this is a massive PR blunder on Trump’s end while also not siding with Democrats because they are largely hypocritical and insincere. As much as I don’t like Trump’s handling of this, I’m not going to suddenly start supporting Democrats over it.

What I don't get is if Trump is guilty for fucking up and not releasing the files now, how are the same Democrats that sat on those same exact files for 4 years and never did anything with them morally superior in any way? You can say that Trump saying he would release them on podcasts or during interviews is his great failing here, but if the list exists then the last administration also had access to it. They don't actually care about the list or the people on it, they certainly didn't for the last 4 years unless it was being used to finger Trump in some way.
