It's a good example of someone mishandling a conversation so they quickly turn someone who is neutral towards them into a hater, because they are blinded by the drama in their community not considering normies aren't aware of nor actively picking sides in their drama.
Take someone with narciscistic-levels of confidence, and a field with a lot of non-obvious domain knowledge, like programming, and combine all of that with excessive double-speak, weasel (ferret?) words, and lies, then slap a shine of "good guy ferret rescuer" on top.
