Because EU/NA folx have convinced themselves that what other countries really want is to be accepted by the west and allowed to join the club. To them referring to Russia as "russia" and saying "ruZZians" will never be part of the west is the greatest insult they can fathom. Same how European countries get together every few months for a "peace conference" where they come up with peace terms without Russia and declare victory.

Discrediting Russian disinformation and propaganda quickly turned into "we post our own propaganda, because that's good propaganda!"

In the early days a group of especially retarded people on Twitter wanted to create fake Telegram channels to report UA troop movement to fake out the Russian military. Imagine that, civilians spreading disinformation about a military conflict they have no part in, in an attempt to influence the outcome in the way they want, without knowing single shred of info about if anyone is at the location they are willy nilly posting.

People with too much time and access to the internet are fascinating specimen.
 
I find it rather funny that NAFO is pretty much a dead movement at this point. So much effort and time wasted, yet nothing to show for it. Of course, you still have a few delusional hanger ons, but having that little dog Pfp attached to your account is basically painting a giant 'I'M A RETARD" on your forehead nowadays, so it gets mocked accordingly.

You got your pearl clutching, emotion based, idealist nafoids. The type that only really care about the war because Russia is mean to gays and think Navalny was the only hope left for Russia. These ones are the least nefarious, I think.

Then you have your White supremacists who have tricked themselves into thinking Ukraine, and by extension, NATO are these le based, pro-White organization/nations and that the war is a holy mission for 'The White Man' to defend his home from Asiatic Mongol hordes. You typically see them posting unhinged extreme far-rightwing memes praising NATO and unironically praising National Socialism/Fascism in the same meme without a shred of self awareness of the fact their 'based' governments will throw them in the slammer for posting such memes if caught. These guys also usually want to completely eradicate Russians and everyone else East of Ukraine. Essentially the epitome of "Kosher Nazis".

Then lastly you have the pro-status quo, 'democracy is non-negotiable', NATO fanboys who post memes of a balkanized Russia, are obsessed with and worship the MIC, are some of the worst armchair generals on the Internet currently, and like to pretend they know the Russian army and its machinations like the back of their hand, believing themselves geniuses for it. These guys believe if you just dump your entire country's weapon stockpile into Ukraine, they will finally win, somehow. They also absolutely do not care about how many casualties there are in war, just that it is acceptable loses so long as their chosen team wins. They also genuinely desire the complete destruction of Russia and all of it's allies, soft enslavement of the peoples of said countries, and the resources within plundered like what has been done to so many countries that experienced a healthy dosage of 'freedom' in the past. As well, the US, NATO and most especially, Ukraine cannot do any wrong whatsoever, no matter how evil the tactics used are. To me, these guys were the most nefarious, as a number of them were able to suck enough politician cock to actually gain a modicum of power and influence.

The "we should nuke Russia" retards who think war is some kind of game of gotcha, who have no understanding of pragmatic real world politics, who demand all western countries to ruin their economy and send billions of € into a corrupt shithole slav country without any checks, demand full NATO and EU membership for a country that cannot even equip its own military with basic necessities without 3 people shovling half the funds into their own pockets when buying field rations at 3x the prices.

So I would have to go with the ones who are just using the war as an excuse to see their preexisting desire to destroy Russia fufilled since they already wanted to genocide all Russians before the war either because they were gigahomosexuals who were left permanently butthurt after Moscow made it illegal to spread gay propaganda in 2013 or boomberlibs whose dementia raddled minds have been stuck in a loop of Cold War flashbacks ever since Russiagate.

They are the most evil of them all because they don't even care about the Ukrainians in the first place. At least of other sects of the furry cult have at some feelings for Ukraine, but these guys?

If you showed them a button and told them that if they pressed it all Russians would die but that all Ukrainians would also die they would within a nanosecond slam it hard enough to shatter every bone in their hand; whenever they see a new Ukrainian town get captured, a group of Ukrainian soldiers get killed or a Ukrainian city getting struck by missiles they don't feel anything even resembling the sadness a human would feel whenever they see something they like get hurt, rather they feel feel the anger of a child who just saw some other kid smash their toys.

Grifters who use this as an opportunity to earn money as they run a fraudulent charity in the pretense of helping the UAF. Primarily focused on getting people to send personal donations to their black box of a "charity" which tends to put up just enough pretenses that they are helping while pocketing all the money that the useful idiots of the world send them.

Isn't that exactly what happened with that whole "Georgia Legion" fiasco? It was just one giant scam pulled by a grifter and none of the money actually made it to Ukraine.

The organization actually exists, their PR guy just went a little overboard.
The problem is that they are, technically, an outfit of criminals in their home country who fight against the Russians in Ukraine, but they have, in some cases, warrants in their home country.

[EDIT] And they made the typical mistake of believing a western volunteer about his fake military record, gave him an official position to help fundraise, but he used a fake name and was actually a convicted conman in the US who was paying back multiple hundred thousands of dollars from a fraud judgement and is basically bankrupt. Western grifters really scored a jackpot with this war.

They did get official awards by the UA military and government, so the entire operation is unlikely to be fake, but it is also very likely that some money got lost somewhere, as it does with everything that happens in Ukraine. I know from volunteers that were delivering human aid that the best way to get across the border from Poland to Ukraine is bribery and that they always had to bribe the border checkpoint or they would be searched and items "seized".

There is also a big black market for medical equipment. People fundraise for it and then resell at 3x the price in Ukraine, showing great "we did deliveries" pictures for their social media followers as "proof", while raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars that disappear into the ether.

I could fill a full novel length book with different stories of people using the conflict to grift and steal money. The "foreign volunteers" are the worst of the worst though, since they actively steal money from western donors with emotional sob-stories, while living like kings in Ukraine on inflated salaries they pay themselves that are multiple times the country average.

"Drone Factories" were the latest grift I paid attention to, where they fundraise money to build drones, pretending they are creating "special Ukrainian quality products", while actually buying the cheap Chinese garbage and the difference disappears into vodka, hookers and drugs.
