That Metal Thread

The lyrics combined with the studio video make this feel like a bunch of musicians from various tech metal bands came together to form a satirical project. Considering it's on Profound Lore, this isn't outside the realm of possibility.

Listen to the studio album if you're not convinced. The tone is very odd and I honestly can't name a single weak song. It's a shame that something this unique will surely be forgotten.

I didn't mean to say it's bad or anything. Just the wording in the lyrics seems a bit off, to me it sounds like who wrote them was just having a laugh.

Unironically one of my favorite albums. As a concept it nails its premise of nuclear apocalypse perfectly. The samples are haunting and the music is like dying wretchedly in delirium.

Reactions: No-Eyed Square Guy
Did they give a reason why?
Apparently some dyke anti-violence advocate busybody named Sherele Moody started posting about Liebling's little incident involving his elderly mother on social media and urged venues not to host the band. Not that I think Bobby isn't a piece of shit, but if I refused to see a band because I find the members morally dubious I'd never go to shows.

Ozzy Osbourne is dead!
Never got into sabbath that hard....or his solo stuff, but this still kinda feels in the heart.
Makes me wonder how that farewell consert was planned....they must have known the end was very nigh....but this was still very fast to clock out after that event.
I just heard and I’m trying to verify. End of a legend.

Yeah. Rumours i see on various forums now is that he ended it in switzerland with assisted suicide.
Somehow that kinda makes it even sader....i dont know. But i have seen nothing confirmed about this so take it with a grain of salt for now.

He sure was a character, problematic in many ways but i get the feeling he was a very kind man. Rest in peace Ozzy.

Oh, OK.

Damn. I just made a thread about Back To The Beginning. The first song I learned on bass was N.I.B.

Rest in peace!

Honestly while this shit hit hard, knowing he lived the absolute fuck out of the life takes some of the bitterness out of this.

Gonna listen to all the ozzy songs I have on my playlist while drinking my way through all the half empty bottles in my cabinet

I need to know your favorite Sabbath albums (or Ozzy solo albums) fellas. Sabotage is mine. It has a certain moody sound to it that I just really like. I think you can really hear what the band was feeling and thinking at the time of writing the album.
