Why are some people, especially in the Farms, obsessed with wanting to know what vtubers look like IRL? I don’t want to know what they look like. The whole point of vtubing is the anonymity and illusion. Hand cams are cool, though.
This is the farms. It's what we do. Does a bear shit in the woods?

In any case, on topic. What a fucking dumpster fire. I remember Vshojo and Melody from the start because of Dankula
Good fucking times. To see it all go up in smoke, man, it's like watching the Titanic in real time as it hit the iceberg. Fucking kek.

Kson and Pikamee can't catch a break. I hope they bounce back.

As for the rest I hope they're broke and have to sell their PCs and get real jobs. Total ewhore death. Behead Melody. Roundhouse kick Zentranny into the concrete. Slam dunk Ironmouse into the trashcan. Crucify Camila (gonna need a strong fucking cross).

It looks like her (she streams as herself sometimes),
I've seen people disagree, her face in the wedding picture is small and distant, and the hijab obscures the shape of the face.
the first brown to post it on /vt/ said it was her,
This is reason to doubt, not reason to believe.
and she once "asked" her fans about supporting your oshi's real-life love life if it means she's happy, and everyone took that as an esoteric confession.
Rrat, and being in a relationship is not the same as being married.
We can't DNA test the picture.
No shit, but that's not evidence to support your claim.

The closest you've got to supporting evidence is your own facial analysis, which is disputed and under poor circumstances. This is what I mean by "never got past the rrat stage."

The indies are panicking because lots of them aspired to be part of an agency and they're falling apart one by one. You either get raped, work for free or get associated with Vtubers who had once said the nigger word.

Curious to see what the purpose for the company money issues were. I thought vtubers were drowning in money. Did they over promise to acquire talent? Corrupt background shit going on?

The irony about the Vshojo mess is that this company would moralfag about being better than the contemporary Vtuber company like Hololive or Niggersanji because of the IPs still belonging to the talents. Which... lol.

Also, I recall a photo of one of their ads in Shinjuku station which is not cheap at all... and this corporation is primarily in the US. Most of its fanbase is American. The only Japanese fanbase they had was Henya (Pikamee) and Kson (Kiryu Coco) and they didnt advertise either of them for it. They advertised Ironmouse, an exclusively EN (and ES) speaker in the middle of Shinjuku which is not particularly renowned for English (not that there arent people who speak English there. Its just few and far inbetween).

From a business marketing standpoint, I would think that it would make more sense to advertise Ironmouse in somewhere like LA, or New York. Or fucking Chicago. Not in Japan where Hololive is the King there.

It could very well just be mismanagement of funds and being overleveraged. V-tubers make a lot of money, sure, but corporations can be very expensive to maintain, especially if it involves traveling and events.
If VShojo grew too fast, with expectations of further growth, they could have easily hired too many staff, and spent too much money on traveling and networking and whatnot. And that's if there wasn't any corruption in the background.

Remember that even Hololive would have gone bankrupt if it hadn't been for Yagoo taking the company public. It's why so many Vtubing corpos went under over the past couple years. Expectations from the massive boom from the pandemic led to over-estimating potentials.

Ironically that is what is fucking them over. The talents own their characters. They can just... leave. It has put the corpo in a hilariously underleverged spot. Vshojo is dead and their own rules ensured its downfall. Poetic. Kino even.

That is dumb as shit. I know nips are taught some English, but look at that sign. Nothing important is in fucking moon runes. So not only is it bad location, people can't fucking read it because it's not in Japanese :story: :stress:

I can get why they went with the talents owning their own characters. It tends to be a very tempting thing with indies who dont want to change. But there is a difference between something like Phase Invaders (Clio Aite, Jelly Hoshiumi, Sleepy, MariMari_EN, etc.) Who, if they graduate, have to give up their character (assuming that is how the contract is) and Vshojo where they sign on to be part of the group (Kson, Zentreya, Ironmouse being indie prior) which, if they can actually leverage some advantages of staying, could be very profitable. But that is provided that there isnt corruption or mismanagement.

To advertise for 15 seconds, 4 times an hour just per a day in Shinjuku station it is around 4,000 USD to start with (a total of roughly 28K a week). This doesnt count any other additional advertising which can cost significantly more or just as much.

The fucking retards at Vshojo thought they could compete with the likes of this:

The problem is they are corrupt and clearly cooking their books. They were trying to grow way too fast and it fucked them hard. Now they are bankrupt.

Such a waste of money. No wonder they were withholding funds. Look what they were spending it on!

This advertisement would have probably happened in early 2023 or late 2022. If you look towards the back, you can see they are advertising Nyanners of all people.
That means they did a Shinjuku advertisement when it's likely Kson was their only JP talent. And they might not have even advertised her (unless she's on the fourth pillar that you can't see because of Ironmouse's pillar).

They really thought it was a good idea to spend potentially tens of thousands of dollars to pitch Froot and Nyanners to a Japanese audience. And Nyanners probably left a few months after this, making some of that investment even more useless.

Schizophrenic take incoming: What if Vshojo was a ponzi scheme? Veibae's statement implies she was having issues with getting paid all the way back in 2023, and now we have other talents saying they hadn't been payed since late 2024. So, what if Vshojo has just been funneling money from their smaller talents to bigger talents, while using the money bigger talents made to pay investors back?

Late 2022 iirc. I could be very wrong of course. But still, that fact alone is fucking retarded. It would have been fine if they tried to advertise Kson AND Nazuna (Mikeneko) alone to Shinjuku since they were the only 2 JP at the time of note. For reference, Nazuna was July 2022 and left December 31st, 2023. She was debuted around the same time as Kson for Vshojo JP's "NEXT".

But they decided to pitch a Britbong skank who doesnt speak Japanese nor has an audience there (Froot), a Puerto Rican with no Japanese audience (Ironmouse), and Nyanners who doesnt even have an audience there in Japan. I dont know if Nazuna and Kson got advertised either, but either way they wasted so much fucking money on 3 talents who have no audience there, and would never have gained an audience there to begin with.

The problem is they are corrupt and clearly cooking their books. They were trying to grow way too fast and it fucked them hard. Now they are bankrupt.

I subscribe to the belief of embezzlement AND high growth. 2023 Vshojo was not nearly as big as end of 2024 Vshojo in terms of staff AND talents. I mean, picture how many staff for merchandise expansions & also the Live2Ds, the managers theyd have to get or share, etc.

Such a waste of money. No wonder they were withholding funds. Look what they were spending it on!

It just writes itself LOL! This would be like if Hololive did some marketing in America during 2016 and tried to pitch Tokino Sora and Sakura Miko to an English audience with just a picture alone.

That's not schizo. It probably is a ponzi scheme, just not the way you think it is.
There are two ways that companies turn into ponzi schemes. One is the way you describe, and the other is less intentional.

Here's an example: Mike is a mechanic and he fixes cars. He takes on three jobs, but one of the jobs goes over budget. Mike might decide "no big deal, I'll just cover that with the cost of the next job." So he takes that money out of the next one. Eventually Mike gets complacent and keeps taking new jobs to pay for older ones to the point he can no longer afford to buy new parts or pay the shop rent. All those new people who brought their cars in to subsidize the repair of older jobs suddenly find themselves SOL. Voila, ponzi scheme. This happens in a lot of fields, especially lawyers, and I'm betting it happened here because they weren't paying their big talents, they were letting everyone go broke. Ironmouse might as well be the face of the company, and overseas it's Kson who hasn't seen a dime since September.

Besides, I wouldn't trust this guy with someone else's money. When the court documents come out and show he's bought a bunch of sports cars and shit, we'll have our answer.

I don't know, that seems either a stretch or the rest of the girls that were in VShojo were hiding the fact payments were spotty from people joining which makes them worse imo. It'd be one thing to fall for a ponzi and another to drag your "friends" into it. There doesn't seem to be any breaking in the ranks among the talents so I doubt that is true.
