Nick does have the classic look of a person thats had his soul stolen by drugs and alcohol. Its a very noticeable kind of thing, especially if youve been around a lot of druggies. Only the ones that repent and fully realize how far down they fell can return to some semblance of normalcy, but the taint never fully goes away. It really is, to be gay about it, like chaos corruption, it leaves this sort of 'scent' on someone like nothing else does.

Nick's argument "I'm a lawyer, I just don't have a license" is so retarded it could technically apply to anyone, including everyone in this thread (aside from the actual licensed lawyers)

I know a few guys who passed the bar but didn’t renew their licenses because they were making a fortune in other fields (hedge fund and other finance endeavors). None of them ever mention that they used to practice law and if someone else brings it up they say “I didn’t renew my license, I can’t practice.” They don’t see it as a feather in their caps, and if they wanted to renew their licenses they could. Whereas Nick has been barred by the authorities from practicing law and that is what he’s got to be proud of now.

Can someone who does not practice law, cannot practice law, and only studies the law when it serves his own interests truly be called a lawyer? Is the title merely a certificate to hang on the wall, or does it demand an active duty to understand, uphold, and engage with the law itself? If a man abandons the very discipline that defines his profession, does the title remain anything more than an empty word? I ask thee.

As a laymen who's wondered the same thing, this is the way it was explained to me.

A lawyer is someone who studied law / went to law school. An attorney is someone who studied law / went to law school and passed the State Bar to be licensed to practice law. Most people use them interchangeably, but unless it's your field and your amongst peers; laymen don't really draw the distinction, but there's a fine line between a lawyer and an attorney. Ergo, Nick is a Lawyer who can't practice, because he doesn't have his license; Nick is a lawyer (believe it or not), he is currently not an attorney.

Been searching the thread, as far as we know Aaron didn’t ask for a continuance?
Restraining order cases cannot be found online, so we only get our info from people going to the courthouse to view the case filings or the parties involved.

[EDIT] Perfectly timed post, with the post made while I was typing this giving us the answer.
[EDIT2] I fully expect the continuance to be granted if the new counsel files with the court that he represents Aaron now.

So did Aaron fire Montgomery (as Nick claims) or did he have to withdraw for personal reasons? Either way this is embarrassing.
Aaron writing a shitty note like this and the continuance still being granted would be the funniest thing in the world because of how hard Nick would seethe...

But doesn't Aaron have to request a date for the new hearing?

He's fucked and going to have to represent himself and his daughter's going right back onto Melton's pedotips.

Fuck Aaron. I'm on Nick's side exclusively in the "Aaron should kill himself" camp
