it's a rather large ferret non profit ( i think over 200 ferrets atm ), there's a couple instances that were cataloged since 2024 of shaye visiting.
the dates of facebook posts and their wiki of ferrets joining combined with comparing the ferret's fur shows that they're not the ones necessarily adopting in these posts, however it doesn't prove they don't do it other times. if anything shaye is on speed dial for off loading ferrets for cheap or too sick and want to offload costs, etc, considering how large their hoard is.

And by extension, that kind of housing tends to be very low quality, because you have to make the argument of business necessity, therefor its expected to be cost-effective. Not shitty or rotten, but multi-bunk rooms and shared common spaces. If you're throwing out straight up real houses for the workers, your gonna get them asking why you can afford this but not afford a regular ferry service when it'd be cheaper at that point.

Regulators really, really don't want situations where employees are at such a mercy to the employer, because it always turns into a shitshow.

If you can imagine someone in a situation where their employer pays for their housing and as soon as you're no longer an employee you must pay rent, it is a bad situation to be in. If you quit then you're not only out of a job but your expenses shoot up substantially and if you decide to look elsewhere for a job there's the added drama of having to move out.

Mald probably wouldn't have any real legal weight keeping anyone from moving out on a whim but he would use scare tactics and his jannies are not going to be people that will challenge him. In no sane world should any content creator be offering "janny4rent" as an opportunity, it invites trouble for everyone.
