Background is, people are upset at Joel for responding to news about Israelis blowing up a Catholic Church, by saying that Catholics deserve it because they support Hamas.

Various people took issue with that, so of course James, ever faithful to Israel and the Jewish God he doesn't believe in, has spent the last couple days denouncing everyone unhappy with the murder of women, children, aid workers, American tourists, half the sailors on the USS Liberty, and now random Christians living in the birthplace of their faith, as Woke Right.

Fast forward to today, and James had this little fight with a man named Nate Fischer, who maintains that Joel argues in bad faith, as for example, when Joel claims that No True Christians openly practice their faith in Gaza. James QRTs a trending post by Eli David, asserting that Woke Right propagandists are lying about the Gaza famine, and sneakily posting a photo of a Yazidi girl in 2014, falsely claiming it is a Gazan child. Why, oh why, do people keep falling for propaganda?! declaims James. Clearly, they have not read all the books about Hitler and antisemitism that James has.

Only one problem, though... Eli appears to be the one who is lying:

Summarized, the photo is real, and several angles of the same shot are being run and attributed by multiple mainstream sources. Upon prodding, Grok recants its claim that the photo is fake; it may have confused the Gazan photo with a vaguely (but not really) similar set of images of Yazidi girls. Or it may have just decided to make stuff up, as AI is wont to do. Who knows?

The point being, despite James' smug intellectual aloofness here, Eli David was the one lying about the photo, and James himself was the one falling for David's propaganda.

Add to this the fact that even President Trump asserts the Gazan famine is real, and it's not looking to be a good day for James at the moment. My guess is that, rather than recant and admit that yeah, sometimes Jews lie, he'll instead just ignore this and move on, focusing on other things more important than a literal genocide, like cherry-picked quotes of random black dude vloggers telling lying-ass Jews to go fuck themselves, language which could possibly one day maybe lead to a hypothetical genocide at some point in the future.

My HOPE, however, is that he doubles down. While he's still a long way off from denouncing Trump as Woke Right and saying that Communist Famine Deathtoll Numbers are sometimes good, actually, that would be the funniest outcome later on down the road.

It's not even a parody. If James ever bothered to read his thread, the blatantly obvious truth that "sometimes Jews lie" would be enough, in and of itself, to get me a Woke Right badge to wear on my Internet Jail jumpsuit.

I'd honestly never really noticed the depths to which Zionism has infiltrated the minds of some evangelicals, both Christian and Euphoric Atheist. I guess, if there's any merit to what James has been saying, that is in itself a sort of vindication of his arguments - a self-fulfilling prophecy, in which him bitching about people "waking up" to Zionism, causes other people to reconsider the role Zionism plays in the world around him.

In hindsight, it seems pretty obvious: I had, for example, a chaplain in the Army who told one of my battle buddies - a Protestant, but obviously gaym Californian kid with a sweet disposition, who was experiencing a severe moral injury at the thought of killing people (he had enlisted as a medic, thinking he was going to help people, but only later learned that shooting Muzzies was also going to be one of his duties). The chaplain, in all seriousness, took him aside and told him "Son, you're a Christian. Have you ever considered that this is all part of The Prophecy? That God WANTS you to kill Muslims, to secure the Holy Land and bring about the Second Coming of Christ?"

I thought it was fucking crazy, and I had a good laugh back then, but no no, that's DISPIES. There is an honest-to-God subset of evangelicals who are firmly convinced that serving Israel is their divinely-ordained mission, and no amount of blood - American or Haji - is too much for the sake of Israel.

James, for his part, seems to be VERY cautious about public displays of atheism, partially because he relies on the old Smug Atheists Meme school of persuading religious people:

If he was an evangelical, I could understand. I'd disagree, but I can grasp the logic that leads from "Israel must triumph so Christ can return" to unapologetic Israel-firstism.

Atheists, though, on a purely logical level, you'd expect them to laugh at Zionists and say "sorry, you're worshipping of a bronze-age desert god, the Torah is all lies and you're not God's chosen people". In practice, of course, that never happens (it's almost like the atheist community has been psychologically conditioned to attack only those religions "Certain People" dislike) but it would be consistent with the principles and beliefs of atheists, both Euphoric and not.

As has been noted before, James himself places Israel over and above all other considerations. He still publicly claims to support "conservative" values, like individualism, free speech, free enterprise, the whole Founding Fathers classical liberal kit (minus the Christianity and the whiteness). But then James will go after people who value all of those things, some to an even greater degree than James even (again, Massie springs to mind), solely because they are not deferential to Israel.

Why is the Zionist programming so strong in him, of all people? Is it just that he spent too much time "reading about Hitler" and consooming pro-Zionist historical material, so that now he's emotionally incapable of separating 6 million dead Jews from "maybe the IDF shouldn't lie so much" and "maybe congressional fatass Randy Fine shouldn't gloat about starving children?"

I agree, it's this. Younger generations who grew up after the multi-culti revolution of the early 00s have no idea the extent to which people who were public school kids in the 70s, 80s, and 90s were mentally destroyed by the constant holocaust programming. I grew up in a semi-rural area, 40 minutes from the nearest synagogue. There were between zero to two Jewish kids in school on any given year, and they were always secular half-breed types due to the total lack of any Jewish community in the area. Nonetheless, we had holocaust history starting in 5th grade, running for over a month each year, and which always included dramatic readings for emotionally charged works of fiction about little kids suffering in the holocaust and brave, guilt-wracked Christian kids who wanted to help them. We had to put on plays, including the Anne Frank dramatization. We had speakers come in and yell at us. We had to sit through graphic recitations of atrocities (real or imagined). The old lampshades, soap, etc. The punishment for uncomfortably joking about this content was extreme. You could call Jamal a nigger and sit in the corner a few hours, but a lampshade joke would get you referred to the principal, no second chances.

I think that our teachers were unwitting accomplices in a very intentional campaign to inflict some kind of secondhand trauma on us as a way of "making sure it never happens again." The funny thing is, when time came around that people were hacking each other up in other parts of the world and naive kids asked "well isn't this like the holocaust? What should we do?" we once again got slammed down hard- it's antisemitism to say that a Yugoslav or a central African could be morally equivalent to God's own precious Jews.
