This is what you get when you start adopting those PLASTIC 9mm pea-shooters! I'm sure even the most lip-wristed airman in the CHAIR FORCE (go ARMY!) can handle a 45 Colt. The 1911 won us two world wars and it would have won us 'Nam too if that damn hippy Cronkite wasn't spewing commie bull**** every night! When I served I never heard of anyone getting shot by their own 1911. Thank God Almighty I got out before they forced us to use those Breda 92 pea-shooters that would break their slides after a magazine! I still carry the Colt government series 70 that I bought with my enlistment bonus to this day and I shoot once a year. Do you know how many times it's gone off when I didn't want it to? ONCE. One time in over 40 years ain't too shabby if I dare say so myself! I was going to replace that toilet anyway.

Hey, ARMY/Navy/Marines/Chair Force, bring back the 1911 and you won't have these problems! Teach those damned kids how to use iron sights instead of that laser sight that probably goes through more AA batteries than my son's old Nintendo when we'd go on road trips to our timeshare in Branson, Missouri.

I have noticed basically every guntuber with industry contacts is desperate to suck off Sig and pretend that the p320 thing is not a direct result of corruption and intentionally subpar manufacturing. Just saw a video of James Reeves that was him trying really fucking hard to defend Sig and act like Sig's blatant corruption and criminal negligence wasn't actually corruption and negligence, and was just due to Sig offering their handguns at cost.
Hasn’t James Reeves literally done interviews with the Sig CEO? Gun journalists, much like games journalists, suffer from the fundamental issue that the nature of the business means that you have to ignore or softball every criticism of the major players or else risk getting blacklisted and being out of a career.

Has anyone seen Larue horny posting in main? Fucking crazy.
Crazy and yet am I really surprised? I'm not sure.

It's a tale told over and over and over in many industries. One without many really good solutions, unless you want to be late and gay with your reviews buying on the open market.

Ian posted his video for tomorrow under the paywall, and iiiiiit's...The 320 question!

The core message seems to be there might be or might not be a mechanical issue with the gun (initially it sounds pretty sweep-y) but then goes into how it doesn't matter because this is basically strike 3. These pistols now represent an unknown risk unless they find a problem, and agencies aren't going to touch them with a ten foot pole if they can help it.

Which is true, I guess.
Ian is a sellout. He is way too smart to not know what's going on here, he is just keeping silent in hopes he can get into Sig's vault again or fondle their new Jeet-blaster in the future. I know he isn't exactly a current gun topics guy, but he already got committed to this when he decided to talk about it in the first place, so I am absolutely disappointed in him dancing around the obvious so he can try to stay cordial with his industry contacts. If he was too pussy to talk about this properly, then he should have wriggled out by saying he doesn't discuss current gun politics and that he will do an autopsy once the dust is settled and the truth is known.

Don't know, but we call those "sellouts". They choose to sell out their morals in exchange for money and favors. Once upon a time, people correctly viewed these people as untrustworthy cunts, given that behavior. Nowadays, we are so degraded, that people act like it's perfectly acceptable to sell out your morals for money and favors. God forbid James Reeves gets a day job instead of white knighting for Sig who has maimed one man and killed another with their willing negligence.

He does have a day job, he's a true and honest practicing lawyer. I'm disappointed that he's not going total sigger death, but I'm not surprised.
I suspect people with large followings are treading carefully on this one. Even if they weren't afraid of losing their access to Sig insiders and products, making a categorical statement about the safety of a product without being 100% certain of it is a great way to get a flock of corporate lawyers landing on your porch.

I mean Sig is currently suing a police academy for banning their deathtraps on campus, and to stop them talking about the gun so I 100% understand youtubers tiptoeing around the subject to avoid getting fucked.

The video has dropped.
TL;DW: Sig dug their hole, the P320 was always average or worse, nobody makes interesting enough gripframes for any modular pistol, buy a Glock, nobody knows the specific cause of uncommanded discharges but it doesn't matter because the P320 and SIG is fucked anyway.

Somehow he still carry's water for Sig even when the lifeboat is underwater
