Reminder: there is NO divorce happening here. Just a custody dispute and a property dispute that's it. There was nothing of legal standing, even in California, about their marriage. However, it is true that CA allows "three-way custody" and Jackson was moronic enough to sign up for it.

Reason I bring that up is that something just occurred to me: is it possible that DANIEL put up the whole deposit on the house from inheritance from his dad? The timing lines up, right? We had all generally assumed that it was the Gerber trust fund that was paying for Casa De Cuck. But is it possible that Jackson doesn't get shit until his mom passes? That is not at all uncommon for families.

I just wasn't buying Bex's whole "help, we're getting kicked out of the house!" schtick. However, I do think it is possible that, aside from whatever Daniel pumped into equity during Jackson's lean years, he may have put up the bulk of the deposit? While it sounds like California would allow Bex and Jackson to force a sale of the house, they aren't bothering with that from what we can see? Is it possible that Jackson and Becky have barely paid anything into the house the whole time, leaving with Daniel with more leverage than we previously realized? Not an expert in this area, but I would think they would want to force a sale if they were going to get significant money back? But if they're not getting shit back, why not just let Daniel and Hannah stay? Plus a force sale would require effort and these are fetlife gooners who don't really like efforty things. Just pondering, not that attached to any of it...

Yes, I would like to see 100% custody ( this is banking, however, on the hopes that his new girl is sane and stable, which is not guaranteed), but I have seen crazy shit with family courts, not just in California. I don't think Bex has done enough yet to get less than half-custody, but she sure seems to be working on that.

-Daniel keeps the house and maybe only has to pay out a pittance to Jackson and Bex. Not that I think Daniel is the World's Greatest Dad, but he comes closest to being an actual adult out of anyone at Casa De Cuck.

We saw a situation like this happen with the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch, where although the group was collectively making payments on the mortgage, only one of the commune members was actually on the deed. (He and his mother had put up the down payment.) When you had the inevitable falling-out, the one guy who legally owned the whole shebang just kicked out the others and kept all the equity. But we've seen in black and white that Becky, Daniel, and Jackson are all on the deed in this case. There as yet remains no satisfactory explanation that squares Becky's ravings with reality.

This is just me making up theories, but the only way I can square Becky's claims of losing the house to Daniel with her and Jacko's names being on the deed would be if one of them provably owed Daniel some amount of money that was roughly equivalent to their claim on the house. Maybe he actually did pay off a medical bill or a private student loan for Becky and somehow has written proof that she intended to pay him back. (Maybe in the form of a you-are-my-chosen-person BPD lovenote? Who knows.) Dissolving a domestic partnership along the lines of "let me have the house and I'll let go of any claim you owe me for X and Y" seems too low-conflict a compromise for Becky's taste though. Very curious to see who retains legal ownership of the place in the coming months.

I also find it hard to believe the type of person who'd willingly interact with Becky would have done enough to earn a high disability rating. Yeah, you can game the system a bit and play the paperwork game, but that also takes time, effort, and a hell of a lot of persistence. The most plausible explanation for this person to have a high disability rating is accidentally getting hit by a humvee, fucked over by some shitty injection shenanigans, or some completely random shit that occasionally happens.

I have 100% disability, and per my VA Letter, narcolepsy is carrying most of that weight. The rest is some PTSD, bad joints, sleep, and a few other problems. But that being said, there's a whole cottage industry that popped up to help people get a better rating; and yes, this includes lying to doctors about your problems.

I'm not sure when it exactly started; but I remember when it was found out that the VA was legitimately just throwing case files out to say "Look, we're catching up." It took damn near a year for me to get my GI Bill paperwork; and that was after several calls and being told I have a new case handler and was being tossed back and forth between people.

I'm willing to say while the VA was shitty in the past; they've over corrected and now it's easy for anyone to get a high rating.

When I got out, the Doctor did everything except say "Why don't you wash the sand out of your vag" which put me off the VA disability for a while; they weren't signing off on shit unless you had a missing limb or some other problem that can't be ignored. Then at a job I had, a co-worker was pressuring me to get reassessed and was telling me how they're better. No lie, go in for my physical/inspection, and first thing the civilian doctor does is ask me how long I've had narcolepsy. I tell him I was never diagnosed with it; that back in like, 2008 or so, I had a sleep study done, and the follow up I had with the Navy Doc was him telling me "You seem to get some of the best sleep in the world, stop malingering." Then was just non-stop being accused of staying up all night and playing videogames and fucking off, instead of sleeping. They'd give me sleeping meds and a number of other things, but no one bothered to look at my sleep study or other shit and offer a second opinion. Meanwhile, some guy who I never met before in my life but had a chance to go through my medical record; first thing he wants to know is how well do I sleep and if I have a hard time staying awake during the day. He wants to pursue it, so I get schedule for the second test which is a nap test, and then just to be certain, they do a spinal fluid draw; and sure enough, my inside chemicals and shit are out of whack and I get properly diagnosed.

Having suffered through the shitty years of the VA and government medicine, I'm happy shit has gotten better; but at the same time, I can't deny that they've over corrected. Not sure how it is for women; but as a guy, you can put things like "uncomfortable with women," "unable to perform," and even "erectile dysfunction." The most they can do is ask when it started, and take your word for it; then add those points to your disability rating. I'm glad things have gotten better, but at the same time, I don't think allowing anyone to defraud the government is the way to go about it.
