I'm all for keeping kids from seeing it, but that will just get disseminated along with anything else. I worked as a school district's IT consultant for a while, SOCKS5 and random proxies were everywhere and we couldn't spend enough money to stop it. Eventually we just let the kids play games and worked with monitors to stop actual porn sites from being shared on their laptops. Kids have enough free time that they will start learning cryptography to smuggle links to these sites around. That wasn't fun when we had to figure out how it was happening.

Really, what you want is exactly what these bills are doing, except it's voluntary and there's a method of verification that doesn't de-anonymize you. That, or you actually make it illegal to say "I'm really 18 for real for real" but I don't think there's enough will to let that happen without massive lolbertarian dissent.
