Yeah, because it would mean they're not making Switch 2 exclusives.if it was cross-gen you'd be sour about that too
Maybe they should make some from the ground up then, huh? Bet you anything MKW has been sitting on a shelf for several years already too.Exclusives drive hardware sales
It wouldn't even necessarily be a shit tier version, and they had no problem doing that before with 3DS versions of Wii U/Switch games. It's just them transparently trying to push people to Switch 2 without actually making any games for it.it's retarded to publish a shit tier version of the game that wasn't promised for the platform.
Doesn't look much better than TotK, Odyssey, Xenoblade 3, Luigi's Mansion 3. I'll grant it looks better than 99% of Switch games but the best looking ones are comparable. The graphics are visibly and markedly better than anything the Switch ever pushed
Yeah, I don't think so. Look at this and take into account that this is a realistic looking game which nearly matches (and in some minor instances exceeds) its 8th gen version, and doesn't have the benefit of inherent artistic simplicity or hiding imperfections behind art style like Donkey Kong does:and way better than anything the 360 could push.
The fact decades old hardware can even rival brand new hardware in terms of graphics is pretty wild.
Seems they didn't work on it alone, and they have some unimpressive work, most notably Super Mario 3D All-Stars (which they also didn't work alone on either). It was a lazy job.EPD8 at Nintendo are clearly some of the most talented programmers in Japan and have always been exceptionally good at optimizing their shit.
Bro, there were more exclusives on day 1 for GC than there are now for S2, even if you count their glorified tech demo they have the audacity to sell. And at least there's no actual drought. It's not the Gamecube days of actual no games for months.
So you prefer Nintendo to drip feed the same number of games to you so you don't play them all at once and have nothing else for a while? I don't get that. Besides, why don't they just make more games then? It's not unreasonable to expect a good launch and continued support. They have trained their market to think "Nintendo puts out a game every month," and I'd rather have that as a consoooooomer than "Nintendo frontloaded the launch and I ran out of shit to play after the first month."
Cyberpunk is shit and not exciting, plus if we're going by "it's new to Nintendo-only gamers" as a standard then they could've released just about anything not previously available on their consoles and you'd be singing its praises. This is blind fanboyism. I'm essentially practically a Nintendo-only gamer, by the way (have Vita and had Steam Deck until it became defective). And if you were a Nintendo-only gamer (I guess some people must be?) the launch was cool, you got SF6, Mario Kart, and Cyberpunk, which you sure as shit couldn't play on the Switch 1.
They're roughly equal, Switch 1 didn't have the best launch either, but benefited from nobody owning a Wii U and bolstering its library with ports so it seemed better to most people. I also think Zelda is much better as a launch game than another samey Mario Kart. And Capcom said Ultra Street Fighter 2 was “a smash hit”, and it's definitely one of the best versions, as well as easily better than SF6, but that's subjective. It was way better as a launch than the Switch 1 with fucking Street Fighter 2, cross gen Zelda, cow milking game, and Bomberman R. Right now it's a pretty good time to have this dinky little gaming tablet.
It's a mediocre at best time to have S2.
