His birth mother was a drug addict who passed him around to pedophiles for drug money. When he was 2 years old, another woman basically bought him and eventually legally adopted him. She had a string of live-in boyfriends who beat Michael. He was removed from the home and placed in a psych ward as a child multiple times. When he was around 8-10 his adoptive mother had a biological daughter with some random who was never really in the picture. Six years later the adoptive mother died. Michael went to live with his grandmother (adoptive mother's mother), and the daughter went to live with an aunt & uncle. The daughter made the abuse claims and the aunt/uncle cut off all contact with Michael. It's only been in the past 2ish years that they reconnected. I believe it started when Michael & Heather got married.

For a while Michael lived in NC. I think that is when he had Cody & Emma. I don't know too much about him during that time.

EDIT - I want to clarify that I don't think any of this excuses his behavior now. He is a piece of shit who should never be allowed around children.

I agree, this is suspect at best. If he was being raped by pedophiles up until he was two years old, wouldn't he be... y'know... dead? How would anyone even know about this?

Not sure what proof I can offer. I am part of this family, so I was around when he was adopted. The whole family (with the exception of his grandmother) cut off contact when we heard about the abuse. Although I have no contact with him, the rest of the family knows what is going on now because of the sister (Cortney Martin) being in contact with him. Everyone talks (there were lots of phone calls Wednesday when this made the local TV news). I can tell you his birth name was Michael Christopher Lancaster. His adopted mother was Audrey Marie Martin. He grew up in the Baltimore County area.

i think they mean that they got rid of any photos they had of mike when they heard about the abuse. i've heard of families doing that, like as a way to get closure and satisfaction that you don't see someone shitty as a relative.

This is very intriguing information, but for now most of should take this with a grain of salt, if this information is true and you have proof of you connections then great.

I do not. Cortney (the sister) was defending them on Facebook Monday when this first started to blow up. She said how all of the negative comments resulting from the invisible ink video were what was really hurting the kids. I imagine they are shitting their pants though. Michael has no skills and I don't think he even graduated high school. All he does is play video games. So they are probably really worried about losing this income. They recently moved from a pretty crappy neighborhood to a really nice one, but they are only renting, so if they can't pay the rent they will be evicted.
